Has anyone else been working their way through the April 2016 Mystery, Coraline? I must say, it feels like a very different format from the March package.

I feel this was their best box yet. While I'm not particularly a fan of the "game" format, I do appreciate the puzzles being more integrated into the story as paper items in the box. The developers of this product appear to be doing their best to listen to feedback and improve their product with each successive release.

Agreed. It is interesting how I told Helena about certain things that disappointed me with the Raven box and... all of a sudden, here comes Coraline new and improved. Fixed almost everything I had a problem with.

I liked the mystery, but I missed the interaction with web sites, and phone numbers to call. I also miss the puzzles in the newspaper. In many respects I felt the puzzles contained in the box were much easier this time around.

Ironically, the puzzles on the website were something I disliked. I prefer mysteries I can work by candlelight during a power failure on a stormy night....
I feel the lack of such interaction is thematic to the story this time around, as the events being investigated are in the past. I suspect they will be revisited in the future boxes.

Excellent point Todd. Online puzzles would not have made sense here. I do feel like the cards with different rooms and such made it feel too game like though...

I enjoyed it. I'm reading through it solo and guessed the bulk of the solution off of an early clue, which I'm kicking myself for because it was one of the first things I began to sift through. I'm enjoying going through the puzzles and cyphers.

I did find a glaring mistake on one of the puzzles. I have contacted them to see if they will have an updated sheet for it posted online. The puzzle solution pretty much solves the entire mystery but what they have you using does not always match up correctly...

The puzzle solution pretty much solves the entire mystery but what they have you using does not always match up correctly... Are you referring to the Latin? No, that was ok. That kind of translation can be tricky and I never found a proper way to translate online. I am talking about: The Bible Puzzle. I used multiple copies of the King James version online. They all used the same text. Most sentences were correct. However, the second sentence points to the wrong verse. Also, the clincher where her father kills her, points to the wrong verse and now says "Father OF me weeping as I ..."

Did anyone else have a problem with the number's puzzle? I contacted the company to see if they would be sending out corrected sheets but haven't heard anything back...

I guess I'm just desensitized to awkward translations. There were two or three spots that were difficult, but the meaning was clear in context, I though.

It wasn't a translation issue as much as... The bible puzzle sometimes pointed to the wrong verse a few times, losing some critical sentence meaning.

I suppose I should have said "transcription" and not "translation".
Would you mind posting a corrected version here for the other subscribers? I'm sure it would be appreciated.

The proper answer to the numbers puzzle: “The men came in secret to my house to cast out devils from my body as they believed I was possessed by evil and was grievously tormented.
They could not cure me.
The rain descended and the winds blew and beat upon the house.
With weeping and gnashing of teeth, I took my mother by the throat and father killed me, weeping as I died.
My soul was cast out into darkness and they burned my body in the fire.”
