Anyone else playing? Just opened the first one. A bit more in line with early MPC in that the items appear totally bizarre and random. We shall see.
EDIT: I take it back. Haha - not so impressed with this one so far. On the surface, puzzles seem very random and disconnected. Once you get going, they're very simple and, in some cases, not puzzles at all. Wishing I hadn't backed the whole 'season' via Kickstarter...oh, well...

Playing the second Scarlet envelope right now about the Cabaret dancer who disappeared. An hour and a half already and still not done, great value for the money. There is a cryptic card inside (with a number of puzzles), one lock that you open online. There should be a quiz and a video at the end. So far, enjoying it!
PS - the first envelopes was supposed to be an intro, I guess. It was much easier.

Completed the second one in the course of a couple hours.
Pros: - The puzzles were a bit more integrated across the items than issue #1, and one item was a very cool device. - The online hint system is pretty good if you need a nudge, (although I don't know if I like that you can simply click the answer link and skip the hints. Others might like it}. - You have to find the link to the hint page within the materials provided (it's not difficult) - The story line, while not particularly complex, is enjoyable enough
Cons - One of the puzzles is such a stretch to connect the dots for the solution, that even the online hint page acknowledges it. - The audio on the closing video is horrible. I had to replay it a few times to catch what the character was saying.
Summary: It's okay overall. I paid for the whole season at the level of being a character in the storyline (which I gave to a friend)
