I'm enjoying the puzzles and the like the quality of material sent. The amount of the puzzles is overwhelming me and no clear direction. No trail bothers me. But I've only completed 4 or 5 of the diary puzzles for far. Will save my final review for much later. But am wondering how those who have made significant headway through the puzzles are feeling about it.

I have not made serious headway on the puzzles as I am extremely busy this week but in terms of a way of going about choosing puzzle solving order rather then picking randomly: My plan is to put the letters and diary entries in chronological order and then solve the puzzles mentioned in order. For example one diary entry mentions the zoetrope. I would work on the zoetrope puzzle when I got to that entry.

I know George says you can start anywhere with any puzzle, but I am finding that doesn’t work very well. We started out that way and got frustrated so we started going through the diary. That makes so much more sense, as it sort of guides you through the puzzles and each one is more or less solvable with the info you have. It also makes for a more coherent story. There are many puzzles that are just not solvable without the related diary info. We basically made it all the way through the diary in one full day, solving about 2/3 of them and skipping the rest for now. Our plan is to move on to the silver letters and associated puzzles, then the gold letters, then platinum.

Our first day with it as a group was a bit of a free for all where we just kinda all absorbed it and messed with whatever we wanted. I think knowing what's in the box helps a lot, too. I'm inclined to also just read everything and ignore the puzzle components so that I can figure out what things might be related.

I have nothing but the deepest admiration for all of you who can solve these fiendish puzzles. I worked through the entire box last evening, with the hints printed out and in hand, to see how things go. The puzzles all seem so esoteric and befuddling! The hints make it fun for me since they allow me to work through and view it as a narrative, like reading a novel. Among the things I can actually follow after reading all the printed matter are all the connections between the diary, the printed individual pieces which are puzzles, and the booklets and two newspapers. George and his team did a wonderful job of putting references to things all over the place to tie it into a nice bundle. One thing seems worth noting: some of the original images of the items shown in the Kickstarter campaign (which were partially faked or just prototypes) have better art design than the final product. One item in particular jumped out: the Haunted House 3D puzzle in the Platinum level. The original prototype appears to be much larger, and mostly black, white, and gray, and is quite evocative. The final product is smaller, and printed in bright garish colors which seem out of place (to me).

I only got started since I got my package this past Tuesday. But I would start with the diary by reading it through and putting the entries in chronological order like a previous poster suggested. Some of the entries aren't dated so you would have to place a date for those too. For each entry there is a puzzle attached to it and my assumption is to do those in chronological order.

A very early review for me, as I have only in the last week or so have been able to start dedicating time. I am working with agentK, who bought the silver edition, I have the gold. All items were included, and mostly intact (a few minor dog-ears), but for my purposes not a big deal. We are tackling the Silver puzzles first without regard to the exclusively Gold edition puzzles. I'm impressed with the variety and quality of the content/presentation.
I like that the diary is there as a baseline and refers to many if not all of the individual puzzles. I am not aware of any intermediate meta puzzles. Like others have mentioned, we are using the entries to establish what we think is a correct timeline, and associating them with the puzzle pieces. There are a few that we haven't been able to, but expect they will fall into place in time. Going back and reading them in order really pulled me into the story line. Some here have suggested that there are some timeline errors - we haven't proceeded to the point that has made a difference. So far we are just looking at the puzzle pieces and associated diary entries, and have solved some, but not worrying about chronological order.
Overall, I am enjoying it immensely and am in no hurry to complete the experience. It's been worth the wait, and I'm very glad I gave into my FOMO and took the financial risk.

It appears that this is no longer available for new orders. Is that correct to your understanding?

It appears that this is no longer available for new orders. Is that correct to your understanding? Last I remember reading there were no plans to produce any more than the original production run, so barring a small number that may become available to get rid of excess supply from cancellations or them doing another run in the future, you probably won't be able to find this unless someone sells their copy.

Without a ready base of 1000 people to buy another run, they likely won't do anymore. It was an expensive and time-consuming job. Unless they made a lot of money, which seems unlikely, why would they go through all of that again?
My contents were damaged (along with almost everyone else's) and they never even got back to me about it after I wrote to them. They are done with it is my guess.

I’m sorry to hear that and sorry to have hijacked! I’m working on finding another good mystery box and this one piqued my interest.

Yeah, this is almost certainly a one-and-done thing. I'd keep an eye out for other products from them though. Wilson Wolfe has a LOT of issues, but I have a feeling that if they make another product, they're going to learn from their mistakes and make something better. The ambition and passion is definitely there for this, but the execution is unfortunately quite rough in places, including the shipping.

Hi everyone! I’m looking to sell my platinum level Wilson Wolfe Affair. I haven’t used it, but I did open the box. $200/obo. PM me if you’re interested.
