Don't have a #$(^&$ light! Dang. But I'm guessing that it sorts out one group of pieces. By the way, did anyone else find a torn corner from the page of a book among the shredded paper?

You know, I thought I did find a book page corner. But then I thought it was a flower petal of some sort. and for what it worth, a black light turned up nothing in my paper shreds.

So question On the "the story of the house" miniature sheet, we are only missing two of this objects right? The flower identification sheet, the music sheet

I also found an oddly blob-shaped piece of what I believe is white chocolate among the shreddings. Anyone else see that?

I also found an oddly blob-shaped piece of what I believe is white chocolate among the shreddings. Anyone else see that? I'm starting to think that the packing material in this box is chock full of leftovers and scraps, which makes it a big pile of red herrings. The reason I asked about whether or not anyone used a black light is that, in my packing material, a whole lot of shreds lit up. So I studiously picked them out. It was a note!!! I started carefully reassembling the shredded note, which is no small feat because she's using a cross-cut shredder. After about an hour, I had a lot of shreds put back together, there was something oddly familiar about this note... and I realized it was turning out to be a shredded copy of the note from -P to Barthelemy. D'oh!!! It took a while to recover from the shock and humiliation... BTW, I also have a corner of book page, but, er, see sub-spoiler #1 And the same goes for the shreds of music, just that we haven't seen the actual music yet... And that's all I have to say about that.

One of my pieces of wax fell off and broke in half during shipping and was among the shreds. Thus in perusing the balance of the contents I eventually put two and two together. I'm afraid I will always be a step behind. Perhaps several.

TheGenii, I don't know that there are steps behind or forward in this one, at least not at this point. I think we're just finding things in different order and you went for the shreds first (so did I and it REALLY took a long time to sort out that potpourri and take the mega-detour with the red herring note shreds!). She could have just as easily scraped blobs of wax off her work bench and tossed them in the box -- maybe she did, lol! Like I said before, the way the story is being presented is top notch and would be top-notch even without the secret messages. Up to this point, I think they have added a lot of creepy atmosphere but haven't moved the plot forward much, that may change -- but I admit that it has been very satisfying to find them

Did anyone want to start a list of everything they got in box 3? I would try to do from memory but feel like I would forget something while I am at work!

OK here you go -- contents of Box #3 Let me know if you think I missed anything. I wasn't exactly working from memory, but a few things have become intermingled at the craft table. I'm pretty sure I remembered which was which, tho. Telegram A receipt A library check-out card A note to Mr. LaFon from -P 3 letters written by Clare, one of which has a miniature red book in it Library Bits - 3 wall pieces, a checkered rug, and a sheet with a desk, chair, and lamp to make; all wrapped in a page from a medical book (at least, in my box) -- I'd guess the pages are random again A sheet of miniatures of all the documents we will have so far and a few others A sheet of book covers so we can make more miniature books if we want to A miniature tan book A ladder with a key tied onto it Dried flower petals A lot of shredded paper that may light up under black light and contain a red herring copy of the note from P to LaFon, grr.

Two more boxes to go, correct? Two more boxes, plus the final dossier (since she said we'd be "directed" to it, I think it will be online and not sent to us). Oooh, and then we get to wait with bated breath for the next offering in January

I don't recall seeing a miniature red book in any of the letters. Must recheck!
