That carved relief kind of looks like a graham cracker. Did you test it to see how it tastes?

Considering it feels like a clay tablet and actually rubs off on your hands a tiny bit like a real aged tablet might, no.
The pictures don’t do justice to how well made the props are, and since I didn’t include them, how good of a distressing job they did on the newspaper articles. This really is back to old MPC quality, which is surprising and quite welcome.

The challenge coin and puzzle ring showed up today. The coin is as expected, but the ring is pretty nifty! It has a hidden compartment for ... poison.

I received the add-on ring today. It’s very well made and designed, and as thegenii said, the hidden compartment is neat. However, I’m rather unsettled by the fact that it fits my right pointer finger perfectly....

The disclaimer seems odd to me. While I understand wanting to distance yourself from the distasteful aspects of his persona that bled through into his story-telling, I can't help but wonder if the couldn't have found an "in-game" way to do so. Perhaps in a written letter from the Curator himself. Or less directly, some other sort of cover letter explaining the contents of the crate, perhaps a museum curator or law firm handling an estate. Or perhaps ditch the Lovecraft and do some other authors. Perhaps a bust of Pallas bespotted with bird excrement. Or something based on The Treasure of Abbott Thomas might be interesting. I found the Disclaimer really helpful for priming me to notice how much the element of the racism of Lovecraft and his time are pulled into the forefront in setting the perspective of the narrative presented in the clippings and this rendition of the manuscript. It begs the question, is there another perspective to interpret the narrative from?
