In today's Mystery League newsletter (always a great read, if you're not already subscribed), it was revealed that they've partnered with Field Notes to product a special "Clandestine" edition. There promises to be not just a puzzle to be solved within the three-notebook set, but also a puzzle outside the books themselves. Not bad for 13 bucks.

Well, the Mystery League looks incredible, thank you! And perfect timing too, as I'm going to Chicago for Thanksgiving, so I can try out that free mobile adventure. I think I'm going to splurge and subscribe to Field Notes for the extra subscriber puzzle. Oh, and that Cards Against Humanity thing that they designed was NUTS; one of the most impressive ARGs I've ever experienced.

My pleasure! I did my best to keep up with their shenanigans after doing the CAH Christmas ARGs. Luckily, I also had a chance to do one of their Creatures on the Loose events a few years back - they really know how to put together a puzzle. I'm sure you'll have a great time.

Also got mine today. For the notebooks being 99% blank, there sure seems to be a good amount to solve, and my eyes hurt from staring at the dots on the pages. I'm just going to braindump everything I've noticed so far here... There is Morse code on the ID card, which reads "futura in every last detail". I spent about ten minutes trying to convince myself that I had mistaken an E for an A, but no, it's definitely "futura". Or, I should say Futura, which apparently is the font that Field Notes uses for all of its products. I'm sure that will become relevant at some point.
The titles of the second and third books are "SBSRS UTDFW" and "JPNDC ATCWB" respectively. These can't be simple ROTs of "Field Notes", and so are maybe provided as examples of the cipher to use within the book?
The inside back cover has a cipher to decode one of the pieces of information on the ID card.
The Clandestine video on their website ends with: 0j'a d6j wduhgfjw3 0d u63w j6 3wu0f7wh 0j bsjwh, 0j'a wduhgfjw3 0d u63w j6 3wu0f7wh 0j d6e, which is almost certainly a cipher of their company motto, "I'm not writing it down to remember it later, I'm writing it down to remember it now." The number of characters doesn't match up, which means something's up.
On the purchase page, the string F T 0 V O X 5 T 1 S N 1 U B 0 Y D 4 has been provided.
The Field Notes Twitter account has a pinned tweet: "Th1s m1ght n0t be the acc0unt y0u’re l00king f0r." 11000000 is 192, nothing relevant in ASCII.
Pages 21, 30, 32, and 42 in the first book all have some stuff to decode. But that will have to wait for tomorrow, as sleep overtakes me.

just to compare: I also solved the morse code and got the Futura font information.
for the twitter message: I thought the 11000000 was A. But, that is also not relevant.
for the message below the sku: c0nt1nue y0ur m1ss10n @fieldnotesbrand - 010110 I've got nothing. I spent hours trying to connect to some binary code. But nothing.
I also tried many ciphers (Vignere, Caesar, ROT) for the front cover and back covers. Nothing.
Back on it this morning. Will post if I make any further progress.

For the pages in the books: for all three volumes I found codes on pages: 5,14,21,30,33, and 42
Just now starting in on those

I'm hoping to have mine soon. Did you guys order the 3-pack, or subscribe? I only just noticed that there is a "subscribers only" puzzle and only subscribers get the cipher wheel. Also, in the specification, it says: "Cover: Mohawk Via Antique Vellum 80#C “Urban Gray,” with a thick, brute force, 1-color application of “Dachshund Nose Black” soy-based Saphira ink and Kodak NexPress Red UV-Fluorescing Dry Ink." Get out your blacklight....

I will say that hidden codes and puzzles of this sort make me very nostalgic for Curios & Conundrums Volumes 1&2...

I've got my Field Office, Expertise, and Supervisor. I suspect that this is the first of the two distinct puzzles mentioned in the back cover. I believe the UV is the path to the second puzzle. Need to put this aside for a bit while the holiday happens all around me.

Have you solved all of the dot code pages? They tell you how. If you're somewhat stuck on those, a look to the back cover is in order.
