store.steampowered.com/app/653530/Return_of_the_Obra_Dinn/This may or may not appeal, but it's a just released detective game from the maker of the brilliant Papers, Please! It's been getting uniformly positive reviews, with some calling it one of the best puzzle/logic games ever made. I haven't picked it up yet, but likely will soon. Here's the description from the link if you want to read before clicking: An Insurance Adventure with Minimal Color In 1802, the merchant ship Obra Dinn set out from London for the Orient with over 200 tons of trade goods. Six months later it hadn't met its rendezvous point at the Cape of Good Hope and was declared lost at sea. Early this morning of October 14th, 1807, the Obra Dinn drifted into port at Falmouth with damaged sails and no visible crew. As insurance investigator for the East India Company's London Office, dispatch immediately to Falmouth, find means to board the ship, and prepare an assessment of damages. Return of the Obra Dinn is a first-person mystery adventure based on exploration and logical deduction.

Wow, I was really starting to think he was never going to release it. The demo had been available on his website for so long that I thought it was just going to fade into obscurity.

I came off a little harsh in my previous comment - I distinctly remember playing the demo a few years ago, and being unimpressed by it. I didn't figure out that you're supposed to take the compass and the book, which....you know....allows you to start playing the game. I'm having significantly more fun now!
