Who knows what the hell this is. But no crate, no artifact. Sounds like something for tween girls. But I'll try it ... perhaps it will be the nail in the coffin for me.

It's a bit concerning that they haven't given an indication of when the Experience will ship. Or did I miss it? September, per description on the website.

Oh and $50 shipping to the UK for some juvenile, sub-even-Harry-Potter bollox?
Um, NO.

Still unclear what tangible items will be sent with this but it apparently includes a challenge coin.

I’m guessing the second mailing is a diploma, or the challenge coin is what they say you can display. I’m sure it will be fun but I’m an artifact guy myself.

"Roll your balls <chortle chortle chortle>" From one of the podcasts. Dear God. How juvenile. Seems that MPC is courting the 13 year old boy audience. Not really sure how much disposable income that demographic has.

I had this dream that I woke up and checked my email on my phone and saw something from MPC with the subject "Our new school of Wizardry is now open for enrolment! [sic]" "What a ridiculous dream" I thought and went back to sleep to dream of less absurd things.
I'm think I'm awake now, and either this is one hell of a nested dream, or it was real. I'm aghast at this, but not completely surprised. MPC is fishing for a new market for their products, and I'm fairly certain I'm no longer their demographic.

See, there's something audacious enough about this that I'm kind of impressed. Like I wouldn't have predicted that this would be their next product in my wildest dreams. That doesn't mean that this is going to be any good or that it's immune to their ridiculous new business practice stuff, like charging more for significantly worse shipping, but at least it's not boring or cookie-cutter. Post Mortem, at least on the surface, utterly bores me because it appears to be exactly the same as a ton of other products out there, but this...is definitely not.

I guess my problem for me personally is buying something that appears to be a parody of Harry Potter? This doesn't seem terribly original. Didn't Hagrid have a wand that was disguised as a pink umbrella?

I won't be in on this. I'm too old to keep cheap crap in my house.

It...seeeems like I remember you saying that a few other times. It brings something to mind...something about a lifeless horse but continuing to whip it?

I listen to about 5 minutes of the latest episode of the podcast and it was all I could stand.
I played D&D when I was a kid, and it's not a spectator sport.
