This one has compound pictures- two next to each other are one clue. Microphone dude: Cosa Nostra turned state's evidence Compound clue 1: It's not actually a dog, although its name says it is. Mouse: pretty straightforward. Compound clue 2: Find the island for the first part. The second part is obvious.

We now have confirmation on the solution. Given the correct answer, below are some more specific picture descriptions: Compound Clue 1: Papua New GUINEA, and a common farm PIG Microphone Dude: a member of the Sicilian Mafia. Think of a slang term for one of their members. Talk like your in a Dick Tracy comic. Compound Clue 2: A sunny day on the PRAIRIE, and a common DOG Mouse: Yeah, it's a MOUSE. Don't over think it.

I thought compound clue 2 was a DESERT landscape and a RAT terrier
Still gives the same common thread?

Still gives the same common thread? Not quite. You're looking for something else. Incisive thinking will help you here. As Cicero would say, don't let the problem gnaw at you too long.

I'm still puzzling over a commonality. I have 3 rodents and one bird.

If your bird is on a backless chair imagine what James Cagney would call him.

Can I ask... if you didn't know who the man was by recognition alone, what strategies do you use to search out the name. All I have done is ask everyone I know...

Hi adventuremama, A reverse image search is often quite helpful for this kind of thing. I use this one… ctrlq.org/google/images/
