And if you read the little card that they have a picture of it says that there is at least one key embedded in each chapter of Masks of Nyarlathotep. AND you might also spot in that picture a website that gives you a good idea of what that little decoder has to offer.

I have received the Masks of Nyarlathotep download from HPLHS. I've been listening to the story over the past week. It really is over 7 hours long! The story is extremely well done and I'm truly enjoying this experience. I can't wait to get the props and listen to it all over again. I'm also working my way through decoding the 31 messages. Listening and hearing the key is sometimes hard and I have to admit having to read through the script several times to find them. Two thumbs up!

So I was very fortunate to get the chance to play Call of Cthulhu at HPLHS headquarters last night. As a surprise, I also received one of the first two copies of the Super Deluxe Edition of the Dark Adventure Radio Theatre production of Masks of Nyarlathotep. I'll eventually post photos of the big ticket items here (which will be massive spoilers for the game if anyone plans on playing it blind), but for now I just wanted to post photos of the box, which is unreal; 27 pounds! The first photo is just the box on its own and the second is with the Artifacts from Century Beast and King in Yellow for size comparison. My Deluxe version is on the way to me. I will post about the contents, quality after I receive it at the end of next week. No where near 27 pounds though. My package is just a little of 4.

drive.google.com/open?id=1JS-w5vLoQn-w0KRq0odZ7opw_mFB3q22Here's a photoset of the artifacts exclusive to the Super Deluxe version. Keep in mind that there are many more than this included as well (82 more in fact), but these are the special "big ticket" items that made this as expensive as it is. Photos do not do justice to how incredibly high quality and spectacular the production quality is on these, especially the Cultist Robes. Also, viewing these will spoil some pretty significant items and things in the story, so I wouldn't view this if you want to go in totally blind. I especially wouldn't view this if you haven't played the game before and intend to; the statue in particular is a major spoiler for someone who hasn't played the game. Some notes: - The "selfie" I took in the Cultist Robes is silly but I think still looks creepy because I managed to block my face (with an iPad). I also took it in the room that pushed us over the edge when deciding to buy our house; the previous owners had some goofy taste in wallpaper! It also doesn't do justice to the incredible design work on the lower front part of the robes; there are these amazing decorative frills that hang down from the front that don't photograph well because they're jet black. The robes are movie prop quality and almost justify the extra cost on their own. - There's an artifact very similar to an Artifact from a recent MPC Experience that just utterly destroys the MPC's version in size, quality, and design. It's not even close. - One of the artifacts has an amazing array of items it's assembled out of. The handle is made from the horn of a Springbok, a type of African antelope. The business end is made of horsehair, African porcupine hair, rooster tail feathers and goose quills. - If you're interested after seeing these photos, they're only going to make 99 of these specific sets, and there are I think thirty of them left to purchase. Enjoy!

Most impressive. I used to have a friend who was a Satanist and wore robes just like that.

I ordered on Black Friday and I'm still waiting for mine. So far I've only gotten the digital audio files. I've been working my way through all of their audio dramas and I've been very impressed by them. Edit: Just looked at the pictures. Oh those are gorgeous! That's a much better looking Eye of Light and Darkness than the one I currently have. I'm now getting super impatient for mine to arrive.

So I technically wasn't supposed to post these pictures, and I actually think I should temporarily take them down; I'll do that after I post this. I got the chance to play Call of Cthulhu at HPLHS headquarters last week, and two of us had ordered the Super Deluxe and had asked to pick it up instead of have it shipped since we both live close enough for that to make sense. The two of us ended up getting the first two copies as a result! I don't think they've shipped any of them out yet; it apparently takes a very long time to get the specialty artifacts made, especially the Cultist Robes, hence why they're only making 99 of them. They should be going out very soon though. And yes, the Eye of Light and Darkness is incredible; really all of the specialty artifacts are fantastic.

Well, I don't know about the shipping of the Super Deluxe version, but my Deluxe version will be arriving today and I'm very excited!! Supposed to be around 100 props in the package.

I have to say the Deluxe edition is certainly impressive. Granted except for the CD and two small items it is all paper, but it is extremely well done. They have created a separate web page just for purchasers of the Deluxe edition which gives you some background information on each prop. What I really like is that they have encoded messages in some of the props so if you have the decoder badge you can decipher. But they DO NOT tell you which props have messages or give you any hints. If you don't find them then you are out of luck.

Another 9 hidden in the props and then another five or so more hidden on their website. Whew! Even if you don't buy the Decoder Badge and do all that...the props and radio broadcast are better done than MPC products IMHO.
