What was the cost of the last membership kit? The Madness in the Library kit (the 2106 deluxe package) was $129.99 plus $24.99 shipping. The 2015 Inner Circle kit was $79.99 plus $18.58 shipping. And I'm pretty sure that those prices back then were in Canadian dollars. They quietly switched to American dollars sometime after that I think.

So I got the Century Beast Coloring Book yesterday from the garage fifth anniversary sale, and I absolutely love it. It's much more than a coloring book; it has Mad Libs, a very funny Spot the Differences "puzzle", pages you're supposed to cut out and rearrange, a recipe for lutefisk...
If you're pining for the MPC of old and don't already own it, it's not a bad investment if it's still available (though the ten dollar shipping is ridiculous). It might be the last thing I purchase from them, and it's a great item to go out on.

So, I just returned from a trip and My "Cult Kit" (only 6 in existence!) and my "Cumbersome Kit" (only 10 in existence) were here.
Opened and examined both. They are virtually identical except one contains an absinthe spoon, and the three challenge coins in each box have some differences.
Otherwise they appear the same.
Neither box is marked as to which kit it is, and the limitation is not written on either the boxes, nor anything in the boxes. I believe this may violate postal law, because without numbering the items there is no proof that they didn't make 50 or 100 of each box.
I feel bad for others who were suckered into these.
I had to turn to images found in Google to even tell which kit is which, since the MPC has wiped everything regarding these from its website.
There was some discussion earlier about what would be printed on the metal membership cards. I just looked at the photos of each kit here (https://www.google.com/search?q=Mysterious+package+Company+Cumbersome+Kit&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwitgquQgILbAhWvl-AKHciBCw8Q_AUIDCgD&biw=1920&bih=949#imgrc=_) and can find no images of membership cards. My two sets didn't have them.

The membership cards were die cut metal and said "Inner Circle" and had a quote on the back (from looking at videos of unboxings) As I recall they were in the pictures posted.
Just goes to say, that when dealing with MPC nowadays as soon as something goes up screenshots should be taken before they disappear and you have no proof of what was advertised and what you received.

Cult kit never got a list for what was in it Cumbersome Kit and list I have several other screenshots of the pictures, and I believe some of the lists as well. Let me know if you want me to post the rest as well. When they put the lists up the Cryptic, Cult, and Coven kits were sold out so they never added lists to those three. Oh and I believe membership cards were in the: Cryptic - both gold and gun metal 2016 Collectors (unsure of the name on that one...there were 60 of it) - gun metal 2016 Curator's Choice - all 3, gold and gun metal 2016 and gold 2015

I'm almost certain that the membership cards must be blank, then. In both of my kits are the round brass discs from the first volume of C&C, but they are blanks with no numbers embossed.

Oh yes, from someone who did receive a kit with the cards, they were blank.

Oh yes, from someone who did receive a kit with the cards, they were blank. That seems really disappointing. The amount of money they asked for those, they least they could do was put your name on it!

Do it fast, do it cheap.

You might more correctly ask, what was the point of putting the boxes on the market in the first place: to get rid of extraneous dead stock. Blank brass tags are dead stock.

But if you still had the steel stamps, wouldn't you have taken the few seconds each to stamp the brass tags? Especially in the limited number they were offered? Crazy.
