I got one.... I'm not proud of myself, but I really wanted the earlier curios....

And just a note...the Curator code is no longer working on the loot crates.

It's like buying new tires for a car that no longer runs.

I'm also realizing that, despite my earlier comment, the Curios that would have the most value to me would be the ones that actually helped tell the story of Volumes 1 and 2, like the police reports and newspaper articles. I've always felt a little disconnected from the narrative because of not owning those, and they don't appear to be part of these boxes.

Is this what your $50 discount code is for....? No. It will be for Post Mortem, the new subscription product they are creating...if and when it comes out. mysteriouspackage.com/pages/mystery

I think the thing that really frosts my cookie is that, back in 2015, I inquired about curios for back-issues and was given the stock line of "they are produced in limited quantities for subscribers and curios for back-issues simply do not exist." So I, with the assistance of mrgallerani and his smithing prowess, recreated all of the curios I was missing. And now I find that this was just plainly not true.

I'm glad now that I purchased mine through eBay instead of giving MPC the money for it.

It is sad that prior to the company going through whatever the hell is going on now, they just said they didn't have a product they definitely had (and why hold onto it when it won't make you any money sitting on a shelf?). But I cannot fathom the logic of taking excess on the shelves and then slapping a $300 price tag on it. If you just want to clear the space put it at a $100 or less. There are a couple boxes I would pick up if it were say $50, but no way in hell I am dropping the cost of a full experience on leftovers.

Okay, I had a weak moment and bought the coloring book thinking it might have needlework possibilities. I do hand work. Much to my amazement they charged a $10.00 shipping charge. It’s time for a hissy fit!

With the exception of the coasters in these kits, it has now been six months since MPC has offered anything new.

It’s time for a hissy fit! Yeah, I had the same reaction, but I figured since this was one thing I had always wanted (and had asked the MPC about and had apparently been lied to like others here regarding inventory), and it was cheap compared to everything else, I went ahead and ordered it. With the CURATOR discount, it was a thrilling $4 off. It's the first thing I've ordered from them in ages, and to be honest I don't feel all that great about it.

With the exception of the coasters in these kits, it has now been six months since MPC has offered anything new. The coasters remind me a little bit of that Kickstarter tier with Filigree where you paid an outrageous amount of money ($6,666) and got everything that they had produced but also got an "exclusive" statue specifically for backers of that level. During the campaign, there was a Curator email that has always haunted me; it pointed out that for "true collectors" that tier was the only way to truly own everything the MPC made since the statue was exclusive. It was effectively asking long-time customers who had already committed a huge amount of time and resources (since the statement wasn't accurate for new customers due to the package not containing the Curios from Volumes 1 and 2 among other things) to spend a gigantic sum of money, get duplicates of everything, and then apparently get this special statue. In retrospect, that attitude was a sign of things to come.
