I think the log in will happen once the game actually starts. I assume that will be the hub where you get your score and can check forums and all that fun stuff.

Anybody else feeling like completely stupid while trying to tackle this thing I'm so stuck on the Indiewatch.net article. I see people nudging to re-read the article but nothing stands out. I have this sinking feeling I'm totally going to crash and burn on May 4th :X I love a good challenge though!

Oh... the astronaut? I am guessing that is for fun... but there is something interesting in the reflection seen using the zoomed in view! I can't figure out who is in the reflection. Looks familiar but I can't put the face to the name.... it looks like Rick Moranis in Spaceballs

I set up a Discord for Grandpa's VCR, if anyone would like to chat there. discord.gg/64gJU4u (I'm Gin over there, BTW, and I know nothing about managing a server.)

You could also use the Knick Knack Metropolis (partner) Discord server for which I created a single Grandpa's VCR channel; if you've already got momentum in a new server or need multiple channels, though, keep running with it.

Oh, shoot, I swear I checked the KKM and I didn't see a channel. But I've also been staring at this glitchy video static all day, so I probably completely missed it.

All right, so I have two out of the three codes so far (the one on the website isn't a URL, but is well hidden even if you've found the humorous hidden thing mentioned above. Let's just say turn up your brightness VERY high). The one from the video is still confounding me even though I'm extremely confident that I know what I'm supposed to do with it.

If anyone needs a channel for anything, just ask, and I'll create it.

Ok, thanks to some amazing help from Virginia, I have solved all three puzzles now (that we know about). More than happy to help anyone who'd like a nudge. This is some pretty wild stuff.

Well, it was wild and required knowing the answer in advance, but I believe I have figured out how to get to the answer to the cipher on the postcard. Feel free to DM if you want help. My main hint: Facebook and eventually Google Maps are your friends (a very vague hint to be fair).

I still have a loose end or two on the postcard, but in retrospect, I really, really wish I hadn't read the Reddit spoilers. I think it would have been a fantastic puzzle to work through "correctly". Although, I probably would have bruteforced the cipher on my own, anyway, so it probably didn't matter. Which makes me wonder if that was exactly how it was intended to be solved? Regardless, I liked the layers, it definitely made me more interested in the game, and I'm considering backing at a higher tier now. Hmmm... tier...

I think it's a testament to the strength and creativity of the puzzle that even with knowing the answer beforehand, the process of figuring out how to get to the answer, and experiencing that final "a-ha" moment, was still extremely satisfying.
