Yeah, I tried doing things off the main Grandpa page and got no where. At least I feel like I am getting somewhere with the font page, though I have no clue how to tie these things together... Oh... the astronaut? I am guessing that is for fun... but there is something interesting in the reflection seen using the zoomed in view! I can't figure out who is in the reflection. Looks familiar but I can't put the face to the name....

Anybody had any new thoughts on the web page that comes up with the .science page? If you found the science page via an article on (Spoiler(? only because I'm not sure if it was linked somewhere else): website) indiewatch.net you may want to reread it.

Well I've now solved the Indie Watch easter egg, but am at a loss as to how you were supposed to use the first two parts of the page to get the answer. The third part I now understand (thanks for the hint, Virginia!).

Is there something there that helps with the .science page you are led to? Yes. There's at least one very helpful hint in the text of the article. I'm really not great at giving hints, but here are some further nudges: Science site, part 1: The words next to the optical illusion may lead to a visual clue that ties in with the hint from the indiewatch article that I mentioned. It's a picture of a person Someone famous, you'll probably recognize. What was the context of that photo? Science site, part 2: The map. Did you try zooming all the way in? What's there? Google maps has some neat little tools available via right-clicking. Alternatively, a more-traditional Google search may help you find the same additional information.

That is wild stuff. I now fully get it, and as I suspected, this was partly confusing me because I'm very hazy on the source material. But I would never have thought to use Google Maps in that way, and that's so cool and bizarre. Thanks again!

I assume that what you get from these puzzles will be used during the actual game if you need help. Seems clear that I'll need it!

Okay I am completely lost. Called the phone number and got three different sets of numbers and letters. I have watched the video more times than I care to admit and have seen some random things but can't find a thread to put them together. I have been on the actual website and while I have found the newspaper and astronaut I can't figure out what that means. I have a bad feeling that I am completely out of my depth on this.

neutronstar - I think it's exactly what it says it is, so just hang onto it and you can use it later on. Thank you! I wasn't aware of that.

I have been on the actual website and while I have found the newspaper and astronaut I can't figure out what that means. I have a bad feeling that I am completely out of my depth on this. The postcard one continues to be a total mystery even for people who know the answer. I don't think it's been figured out quite how to solve it yet (though I could be wrong). Don't feel bad at all! This is very tough so far in my opinion; I certainly haven't been able to solve anything on my own (and the real game hasn't even started yet!). This is a perfect use of the forum though, since collectively we can figure stuff out and help each other. Always feel free to PM if you want help, and I'm sure once the game really starts we'll all be struggling together.
