I tried using my discount today and got some sort of error. I emailed them, but with Christmas, New Years and their typical glacial response I’m pretty sure I’m not going to be in on this. I’m in exactly the same boat. My code doesn’t work, and they even emailed me saying they were going to look into it and get back to me and they never did. I’m going to try reaching out on Wednesday but have basically zero expectations. At least I put very little effort into the application.

It is interesting that Post Mortem is also listed under in the "Experiences" section of MPC.

So I purchased this so I could wrap it up and give it as a birthday gift to someone. I did not anticipate that MPC would start sending emails related to this experience and providing background that I'm going to have to print out and give also. I wonder if this is the only one I can expect to receive before the product is actually shipped. Why not just put it in the product in a format keeping with the 1940s rather than send it now? Having to print this modern email out and include this with the experience is going to break the immersive experience. I don't get it.

Judging from the order receipt - this experience is entitled:
"Post Mortem LA: Lights, Camera, Murder!"

I just ordered using the discount code. I doubt I would have ordered this at $69.99 -- that seems a high price to pay for a single shipment for an experience that is unreviewed from a company with a tainted track record.
The trick is going to be evaluating it at the $70 price point rather than the $20 one.

I wonder if the PDF badges are unique or the same for everyone. Mine reads "AGENT NUMBER: 24" and "DESK NUMBER: 23".

But it is about twice the price of a monthly mystery subscription.

It's worth pointing out that the address that they list in the intro email is not only a real place, but a very famous real place: the Bradbury Building in downtown LA. Worth checking out if you're unfamiliar; it's been used in many movies and TV shows, perhaps most notably Blade Runner, and is for sure worth visiting if you ever find yourself in Los Angeles. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bradbury_Building

I already had some leftover Salmon while sitting there the other day. I also dropped some off the fork, but I think I wiped it all off.

I inadvertently deleted my email with the discount code. I would try it at $20.00, but at $70.00 I'd rather get the HPLHS Dagon tooth for 5 bucks more.

Ordered. Code worked fine. Perhaps try all caps?
No expectations. Let’s see what happens?
