Relevant to the interests of this forum is this Kickstarter that recently launched for the 25th Anniversary re-release of the classic adventure game series Myst.
The games will be digitally re-released for Steam and GOG.com of course but exclusive only to the Kickstarter is that they're making a physical replica of the Myst book, complete with video screen linking panel.
The KS has already surpassed its goal less than 12 hours after launching but of course there's still time if anybody else wants one of the replicas.

There are a number of things about this that are stopping me from backing despite Myst holding enormous nostalgia for me (first game series I really got into, and arguably my introduction to puzzles despite many of the Myst puzzles being dicey). Issues I have with it include:
- Marketing this as seven games when it's really six, since they're calling Myst and realMyst two different games despite them being identical except for the graphics and that lame "bonus" Age in realMyst that sets up Riven.
- No Mac compatibility, which is a deal breaker for me. There must be some big technical issue stopping them from making them Mac-friendly, especially since Myst was originally a Mac game. They're also pretty much all available on GOG right now as Windows downloads anyways.
- The collectibles seem very overpriced to me. $170 for the Linking Book with the LED screen? That seems kind of insane to me. I get that it's a collectors item, but that price is hard for me to justify.
Clearly I'm in the minority, as it's been an enormously successful Kickstarter, but just thought I'd weigh in on why I'm not planning on backing it.

It would be sweet if they produced a Myst linking book that actually played the game. This was done six years ago by a very dedicated gentleman who used a copy of the same 140 year old book the Miller brothers scanned for its basis:
