Very interested in your take on this one! Yeah, I got a good look at the full sequence at lunch, so I see how those fit together. There's at least one interesting shape on page (i) that looks like it might be useful later. And I'm trying to remember which of my board games have dice that I can steal and I just used up all my graph paper on forgotten tomb, so that needs replacing.

So I fell behind and am now just getting to 0.10 and 0.11. Could use a nudge with 0.10(i-ii) though. Current thought is the capitalized words give directions for NSEWRLBF like (SE)a (SW)ay, but can't figure out how that would translate into directions for (ii) since the numbers and letters don't line up with a compass rose.

Quick hint on this for (i), look to end up with eight compass directions (i.e. you will not get R L B or F from (i) for (ii), you have two things to do. Firstly, work out which order to apply these compass points to the pairs of dials. Secondly, turn the arrows to point in the directions chosen. Remember - the arrows are attached to the dials, the arrows are not in themselves the entire dial.

So 0.12 is here and breath a sigh of relief it's a lot easier than 0.10 and 0.11 and is in fact a nice gentle romp with some interesting things to do.
Get your lego ready is all I would say

Get your lego ready is all I would say Lego is at the ready (I couldn't resist the recent ship in a bottle set ) Might be a while before I get mail though - Storm's thrown the country into chaos. No deliveries today, trains and buses have stopped, and government's asking everyone to stay at home from 4pm tomorrow through friday.

Finally got my february envelope now that the post office has thawed out. Wow, this one does flow really well - it’s nice not to have to fight with it after the past few. I like the way it introduces the story for next year too 😄

My Jan was officially lost in the mail. So Jack added Jan to my Feb envelope, which I am now waiting on. I'm slowly getting the idea that Kansas post people are confused by the British language on the envelope. I did finally earn Spring and Summer prizes. But due to lost mail, Jack will be sending them in the March envelope (which we have agreed will be tracked - honestly I offered him the extra money to track it cause the suspense of "is it lost, is it not lost" was killing me). So, not Jack's fault by any stretch of the imagination, but here I sit and wait. Sigh.

OK I have questions. 1. Anybody willing and able to scan and send me copies of Jan and Feb? Past experience tells me that I will be getting them around mid April. 2. Dec 2017, aye yi yi. So far from (I) I have teased out 3, SE, SW, W, 2, 3. In an earlier post someone said I should be getting any L, R, B, F. But they do take up half the dials on (II)
3. What's up with the arrow shaped like a U at the top of page (II)
4. What purpose do the dark triangles around the dials on (II) serve?
5. Finally on (iv) it says that the first thing each bird says must be the truth. I've seen this puzzle before, but to me this particular one looks contradictory. For instance, Victor says Valen can be trusted all the time, but then Valen says his brother always lies. Is Victor his brother? If so than Valen is lying. I recognize the male/female symbols, but I don't recognize the other two. Ditto contradiction with Velda and violet.

1- Haven't got a scanner, but I can try for a clear photo for you 2 - the directions you get from (i) don't directly tie to the directions written on the dials in (ii) 3 - It helps put things in order 4 - they point to the boxes? dials that rotate usually do so relative to a fixed marker on the control panel 5 - You'll need the solution to (iii) here - this puzzle can't be solved independently
