(ii) took me all weekend to work through.... but I've finally got it. I'm having trouble again connecting (i) and (ii)... which is probably why it took me so long to solve. Now I'm just trying to work through the connections from (v)-(vii) to make sure I've got the right keyword.

Now I'm just trying to work through the connections from (v)-(vii) to make sure I've got the right keyword. I'm afraid that you probably don't have the answer for (i) if you can't connect them, because once you have the right answer for that, (ii) becomes a lot clearer (and can be solved in 30 minutes or so, sorry!) The key phrase to solve (i) is: Follow the North Star or to write it the same but another way: follow "the North Star" or even: follow "the north star" or explicitly: follow "the north. Star"

OK, I've been staring at (ii) for way too long and not seeing how to begin, though I have some theories about what to do once I know where to start. Does North Star refer to the moon on the key, or is that completely off base?

I appreciate that that comment was singularly unhelpful, so sending you a PM

That idea seemed brilliant when I was thinking it, and then as soon as I wrote it out and submitted, I realized how silly it was. No worries, I also went round and round in circles on that one, trying stuff like POLE, HOME, URSA and all sorts - it was only stepping back for a day or so and then remembering IT FOLLOWS YOU from CnC v3 that inspiration struck and I kicked myself about overthinking the damn thing. The rest of it should fall into place nicely - but when you've done it all, check out the unused letter pairings in (iii) to see something that really made me laugh.

I feel I am missing the obvious in iii - can I PM anyone for a clue?
