Risen! also now has a message saying that it will be sent to the archives when sold out as well.
One starts to wonder if anything ISN'T about to go to the archives.

I think the general feeling is that they are selling out and getting rid of everything they have....IF they continue on in the future it will be an entirely different direction.

I picked up the Weeping Book yesterday for only $79. I guess you are right. They’re cleaning house.

Someone mentioned that there was a change in ownership and management at MPC. Is this conjecture, or is there a source of this information?

Someone mentioned that there was a change in ownership and management at MPC. Is this conjecture, or is there a source of this information? It is not conjecture. Tim Sullivan the creator and founder is no longer affiliated with the company. Most, If not all,of the creative team has been fired.

Someone mentioned that there was a change in ownership and management at MPC. Is this conjecture, or is there a source of this information? LinkedIn confirms the rumors of employee turn-over. The former face of MPC left the company last fall. More people left over the winter. Left, fired... That part's mostly conjecture. But I have personally had conversations with a few ex-employees of MPC.

I knew it, and thanks to the decision of MPC to exclude many European countries from their shipping service, I will never be able to buy anything. Nice move MPC.

But I have personally had conversations with a few ex-employees of MPC. That's too bad -- I kind of considered him as THE curator. All the changes at MPC make a lot more sense now. I browsed around on LinkedIn and it looks like quite a few of their current staff (especially biz people) came on around the same time that Tim Sullivan left -- late last summer. Looks like there was a top down shakeup.

Somewhat out of nostalgia, I listened to this podcast from a couple years ago with Tim describing the MPC and what they do (did).

I also don't see a link for the Surprise Me any more. I am really confused as to why anyone would want to buy a company only to remake it completely. Must say that seeing the MPC being gutted is really disappointing.

Must say that seeing the MPC being gutted is really disappointing. It's not that MPC got bought. A long-time silent partner and investor took control. IMO, it now looks like it all comes down to money, which is a shame because MPC used to be art.
