So is this a likely thing that they are going to sack all of their experiences or just conjecture at this point? I can't imagine what they are thinking in doing that as it was the very premise for the company.

Conjecture but they've done it with two in a row and if this is the third then one would have to infer a pattern is forming

The ship, my friends, appears to be listing. If there are any experiences you really want, marshal your finances and strike while the sales are on. It appears that they will keep rotating around the sales between experiences. I don't think the sudden disappearance of The Century Beast is without ulterior motive. It was likely done to motivate you to spend NOW. And each time they kill an experience, its value may rise and they will appear for sale in secondary outlets at possibly higher prices. This may be of interest: www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=Mysterious%20package%20company&LH_Complete=1&rt=nc&_trksid=p2045573.m1684

I know around the time I found out about the Company that Tempus Fugit was sold out for a short period. There was not a sale associated with it, that I recall, though. It eventually came back. That did not use the "archived" terminology, so clearly different. Though in checking the messages re: Ceiba Tree (Werejaguar, whatever), "no current intent to return" is not a definite "never", so who knows.
It would be unfortunate it WB goes archived, since it seems to be popular and is the least expensive option. Also, I do want to eventually get it, but I am certain that even if it cost $1, my husband would kill me if I ordered another experience right now. So I hope it doesn't get archived, but I guess we'll see.
Given the new...thing that is supposedly forthcoming, it's possible they are clearing out Experiences that are being bought less frequently to free up production line resources? Given that they just did a website overhaul, I don't expect the company is going under, but clearly larger changes are afoot.

The MPC has ditched C&C and is slowly selling out the remaining stock of its experiences after a change in both ownership and management. This type of activity is often a prelude to the "new" company trying something that doesn't work and then going out of business.

I keep getting emails from MPC advertising Century Beast at $199. Received yet another one today, and this is the third since it was archived. One hand does not know what the other hand is doing.

I was suspecting this. Sadly you are right.

Frustrating. Welp I just ordered the Weeping Book for myself. After that I think I will just keep an eye out for a sale on John Auger or the Demon Jar, not sure what else might be worth it at this point.

After that I think I will just keep an eye out for a sale on John Auger or the Demon Jar, not sure what else might be worth it at this point. I'm kind of doing the same thing. I ordered John Auger for a friend last November and got to experience it second-hand (she should have received the artifact this week, but I haven't see it yet), so I don't need to get it for myself, but I'm rounding out my collection with the rest. At this point, I'm just need to wait for Demon Jar and Forgotten Tomb to go on sale before being Archived. I've ordered 5 experiences for myself in the last month -- much more than I wanted to spend -- but I was afraid of missing out completely. MPC is certainly generating revenue from people like me, but I'm afraid they're selling their seed corn.

It's also possible that the new owner(s) want to suck as much money out of the company as possible before declaring bankruptcy.
