The pictures appeared very close together in this issue.

I have been having difficulty working through the picture solutions. I thought I understood the answer to this, but my answer was rejected. Is the answer supposed to be the 'gallant medieval horsemen'?

I'm new and I don't understand where you're answer was rejected. Is there a place to submit answers and have them accepted or turned down? Also, this puzzle had been solved, correct? I understood most of this puzzle as I followed the hints. However, I'm confused how you came to the solution. That is, if the solution is what had been posted. Any help is appreciated.

Everything to date has been solved except for the last puzzle in the current issue. There are vaults for each issue where the keys for the puzzles you're solving are input. For the first two volumes, I recommend waiting to hit the vault until you've solved the issue. Those are much more fluid volumes and kind of double back on themselves quite a bit. If you want to know where the vault is located, have a look around the MPC page and see if anything looks vault-y.

Embarrassed to ask, but I'm still stymied by this one, and the above "gallant medieval horseman" mention has me even more confused. Anyone out there willing and able to give a guy a little more assistance?

Anyone out there willing and able to give a guy a little more assistance? Feel free to disregard the "gallant medieval horseman". It was a wrong guess. How versed are you in 1980s video games?

Thanks for the hints - the last one was particularly helpful. Now I have the four words, can I assume that the code for the vault is the word which links the 4 pictures?

The picture commonalities are used eventually; a puzzle solution in Chapter 4 will give you guidance as to the ordering of vault keys.

I also have tried those men (singular and plural), also the type of "hood" you would gain as well as tournament.
