Got the final mailing over the weekend. This is the first artifact I won't be displaying. The puzzle was a nightmare. The code yielded an unsatisfying conclusion. What a massive disappointment. I'm glad I didn't do the kickstarter now.

I've never done a jigsaw puzzle before in my life. Even with the help of several folks here on the board, it too me the better part of a week (and a terrible backache). But I did feel a sense of accomplishment on completing it. The general consensus seems to have been that it was a fat pain in the ass for no good reason.

I actually really like the puzzle. Especially since it ties in with the "blueprints" from the first mailing.

I thought the puzzle was great. It's been a long time that my family came up against a puzzle that challenging. It was fantastic.

Add me to the list that loved it. Did it frustrate me at times? Yes, but that's part of why I ultimately enjoyed it.

Has anyone been able to come up with an in-story explanation of why the blueprints for the house were printed on a jigsaw puzzle?

Hmm, this reminds me that my puzzle is unsolved in a box in a closet. I should probably finish that...

Has anyone been able to come up with an in-story explanation of why the blueprints for the house were printed on a jigsaw puzzle? Since part of the experience brings us into modern times, I like to think that the house is a bit infamous at this point in history. The puzzle is from a macabre line of products that produce collectibles based on places where dark and violent things happened. Sure, that doesn't explain the goblin writing on it, but...*shrug*

Rather than invent some story about how she acquired this letter, she simply says "you shall not know by what strange accident I chanced upon this letter". I've always been amused that Shakespeare closed the loophole by calling attention to it, and then saying it wouldn't be explained.

]I've always thought myself more of an Antonio, but at least I'm not Shylock I had the good fortune of portraying Launcelot Gobbo in a production of Merchant a few years back. Clearly the part I was born to play.

Just discovered fun detail with the final mailing: go to the website listed for the Griggs Manor and check out the source code. Scroll all the way to the bottom.

I was really enjoying this experience. Each mailing felt like an immersive experience from another age but when I opened the artifact mailing and the first thing i saw were new, shiny, clearly contemporary jigsaw puzzle pieces i felt jolted out of the experience I also think it was less than responsible to just dump the pieces into the crate. At least one of my pieces has part of the picture ripped off and missing from the cardboard backing

I guess I'm in the minority. I found the packing material in the artifact mailing to be rather clever and original. I was somewhat delighted upon opening the crate. Still, I can understand how it might not appeal to everyone.
