The quality of the contents look good - proper aging on the documents. Dad’s impressed with the authenticity. There’s a bit to read through and The accompanying artifact apparently smells like it was dug out of a moldy grave (I’m going to have to ask him how he knows that) - the dog was very interested

Yussss, thank you for extinguishing my fear that I would receive a card stating "something was coming." Excited to see how this starts.

Well. My first Rise of the Cult mailing arrived today. I'm in the UK. How quick was that??? I'd like to echo the comments above, there's quite a lot here and the aging and feel and even smell of the whole package is pretty much spot on. It could be what MPC have lost in CnC they have gained in Experiences...

I haven't opened it fully but the initial packaging is great. Definitely gave me alarm until I remembered what it was haha.
Edit: opened in the car and up on looking at one item exclaimed "oh no! It's back!" Which really made me happy haha

I'm really glad that this experience seems like it's gonna be another great one. The Filigree debacle made me nervous. I know what I'm getting myself for my birthday now. Of course, I'll be keeping my eye on this board in case the quality all of a sudden goes south in future mailings

This one did have a certain clay-like smell to it. I noticed that right away. And of course, an old familiar friend.

Wow, I am VERY impressed with this. It might be my favorite first mailing they've done. Everything is incredibly convincing (especially the artifact), and also, the fake website they created for the delivery service is exceptional. I would be totally and utterly fooled by that site. This gives me great hope for the MPC's future.

It would have been hard to fabricate all of the "other websites" but one of them DID produce an interesting and related thing. How's that for vague haha

Two things come to mind now that I have had some time to read. One is that I wonder if we all have the same damage to the larger older document. The corner is suspiciously missing what those who have partaken in The King in Yellow might be able to assume was supposed to be there. The other thing is that I started watching Channel Zero: NoEnd House last night and the startling bit in the middle of that article reminded me of the first room of the house (for those that have seen it). An oddly timely read for me. Creeeeepppyyy. Love it

Since The King in Yellow is perhaps their best experience, the return of Hathur can only be viewed as a good omen.

How's that for vague haha Assuming you're talking about the Ted Talk video I completely agree. In fact, I think that's one of the most clever things I've seen in any experience like this from any company, as it rewards meticulous readers/fact checkers while still allowing for less detail-oriented people to enjoy the narrative.

Received it here in Germany today. The contents are great, the immersion is there immediately. I had a lot of fun poking through everything. I really liked the smell of the second envelope. Considering how much effort they put into this I really am looking forward to the rest of this experience.

Non-functioning websites are a hallmark of the MPC's experiences.
