I hope it's more than the Demon Jar holiday mailing.

Is this the first time that they've shipped a mailing AHEAD of the estimated shipping date? Kind of amazing.

I hope it's more than the Demon Jar holiday mailing. Is it too much to hope they are following the John Augur/Filigree first mailing template rather than the Demon Jar and earlier template?

Got the email, but standard post, so no tracking number. A bit earlier than expected.

Must say, they're two for two with their mailings for this and with Tomb. Just got the tracking number today as estimated, though of course there's no tangible info in it yet, and if they're using that new Mail Innovations thing, there may not be info for a long time.

"there may not be info for a long time." = no info.

With the new shipping service that they're using, it will be ten days from date of shipment to when I receive the item, and that's if the UPS Mall Innovations tracking estimate is accurate. It took five days to go from New York to Ohio.

It took five days to go from New York to Ohio. Spoiler Alert: That estimate won't be accurate. I ordered something else from NY (also to Ohio) using UPS Mail Innovations. It was "transferred to the post office on 1/4 with an ETA of 1/9. It is just now out for delivery today (1/18).

Looks like they're cutting expenses even more. I might write a new Boing Boing piece and call it "The Rise and Fall of the MPC."

So the third mailing of both Cult and Tomb were supposed to ship today, and at least according to my Orders page did not. Normally, this would not be a cause for alarm or particularly noteworthy, as in the past MPC would have the ship dates as rough estimates and would often be off by a week or more. However, I'm noting this both because of the very uncertain times we find ourselves in with their operations and because they mailed the first two mailings of both new Experiences exactly on the date they had estimated. Also worth a minor note: the Orders page no longer says that the shipping dates are "estimated".

I just received my 2nd mailings on Monday so I'm pretty confident that the third will not be arriving next week. At least not to my house.

I just received my 2nd mailings on Monday so I'm pretty confident that the third will not be arriving next week. At least not to my house. Well, keep in mind that with their new shipping service, mailings take substantially longer to arrive. It took eight days from the second mailing being shipped to arriving at my door. So, it would make sense that they would be sending out mailings fairly close to when the last one arrived if they're taking that added time into account.
