For me, the biggest issue isn't so much making the puzzles easier as it is the sloppiness in puzzle layout and design that has existed in the last two boxes. Just in Clockwork Mutineers alone, we had a completely broken puzzle with the Word Search and a pointless index puzzle with Timey-Wimey, and Brain Butchers had the (presumably) broken box puzzle. I'm totally fine with easier puzzles if they're functional and entertaining, and of course MPC is a pioneer in making puzzles that fit into a deeper narrative, which I would assume is a major reason why a lot of us enjoy C&C (sure, the high difficulty is fun for some of us, but clearly that's not true for the majority of subscribers, which is quite understandable).
But to have puzzles that just don't work, and to not have a reason for them not working other than apparently carelessness, is in my opinion ridiculous and doesn't make C&C worth it (it's the most expensive subscription box I belong to right now). I'm extremely close to canceling C&C, and if there's a broken puzzle in Oblivion, I certainly will, as I can get more value from other boxes that I do and don't have to go through the aggravation of working hard on a puzzle only to discover that the puzzle designer didn't work hard on making it functionally solvable.

If we find ourselves with a void I have no doubt we will find something to fill it. Ugh, more change?
