Assuming I did this correctly, it leads one to The last help wanted ad. I'm not sure what to do from there....

Have you tried Googling the text of the ad? What you're looking for is the name of the person who is rumored to have posted that ad. Knowing that provides you with a Vault Key.

I found the small print And I've found "the hands" Or so I assume. I read the suggestions, and followed them. But I haven't cracked any codes. Do I need to crack one of the codes in order to figure out "the hands"? And if so, is it the small print, the vertical code that seems more likely to fit the format, or both?

The words "The hands" and "of time" refer to a specific Volume 1 curio that helps solve the puzzle.

Presumably we need to visit the library for a certain edition of a book?

Presumably we need to visit the library for a certain edition of a book? That's one way to do it.

Can someone who has solved this puzzle check my spoiler and PM me? There were so many versions by the same publisher in the library system that I had to take a shot in the dark. Could someone PM me the correct version and printing date (maybe the ISBN#). Otherwise I have to guess and then wait a week for each book to ship to my library.

Does anyone know if there is a way to get that book somewhere online for free? I found one on Project Gutenberg but it was a different edition and didn't seem quite right. That would be awesome. Thanks

I feel as though there is something I am seriously missing in all of this. I wrote down what I found but have no idea what to do with that information. Todd posted a link for me but I still don't understand how I would know I needed that. I an extremely confused with this entire issue and am considering giving up this subscription. Can someone please explain the methods they are using not just the answers? I'm losing hope.
