Discuss the puzzle here, as well as anything Wibbly-Wobbly.

The inconsistency in this puzzle really bothers me. If 29 counts as 9 then shouldn't 35 count as both 3 and 5? IMO, they should have been consistent in using spelled out numbers. Otherwise it feels like it takes a leap of faith to solve.

Todd, I completely agree, and in fact, I'm highly annoyed by this. It's so lazy, as it's such an easy fix.

This could be a layout person not understanding puzzle mechanics and forcing a rule like "All numbers two digits or longer will be represented as numerals. Single digit numbers will be spelled out." It could be the Brain Butchers box lid cipher all over again. If that's the case, though, the Puzzle Designer should be included on all proof approvals from press.

Okay I believe I figured this out but man really?!?! Maybe it was rated 4 puzzle pieces because you had to try and solve it while ignoring the mistakes. That is a hard thing to do.

It gets worse (major spoilers for this "puzzle" follow; Todd, feel free to censor if this is too much detail, and definitely don't read until you have the answer): If you go straight down the column and select the correct letters from the dates in the order that they appear in the column as opposed to numerical order, they spell out the answer, making the scramble part superfluous).

Visiting the Codex after solving everything (well, and to be fair, because the mistake in the Word Search made me unable to understand the secondary puzzle in that one, so I caved), they designed this to be a word scramble, which is how I solved it because I saw the word "re-order" in the instructions and assumed you needed to go in numerical order to get a letter jumble. But then why not have the word scrambled in the column itself so that there's no confusion? This whole puzzle is just incredibly sloppy.

I, too, am accustomed to indexing puzzles where the index is actually significant.
A year ago we'd be thinking this was significant and coming up with all kinds of theories of how this index is to be used.
This year it just feels like odd puzzle design.

I was working on Drowssorc and just glanced at Timey Wimey and saw a word in the letters, in order ... I haven't even tried to actually solve the puzzle yet... If I'm right I'm going to be super disappointed/annoyed.
