I emailed concierge about it and was told it was in error and the correct version will be on the codex once they have it. There is a disclaimer on there now as well.
"Our apologies! This puzzle shipped with errors. We are hard at work on corrections, which you will find here once they're ready. All interns responsible for this unfortunate event have been appropriately disciplined."

I'm not sure which is worse, being an intern at the Night Vale Radio Station, or being an intern at MPC.
I've been a little worried about the interns lately, between the constant notices in the paper, the lack of intern sign off on emails, and such. Hopefully the disciplining still leaves the intern with a beating heart, preferably still within his or her chest.... If events went down the way I suspect they did, it was a mistake anyone could have made, after all.

Would just like to confirm here, we do not have an official correct answer for the four letter answer?
I got my answer by finding all the words and "fixing" what was wrong in the corresponding sentence, but my word isn't a word.

I got my answer by finding all the words and "fixing" what was wrong in the corresponding sentence, but my word isn't a word. Unfortunately the puzzle is broken on two levels. Looking closely at how you can fix the wording of the sentence within the puzzle might help you figure out the final solution.

Ok, I got the future (bottom) section just fine, but the past (top) part is giving me fits. Would someone mind PMing me? I can't figure out several of them. For example, what the heck is a Deng? Other than a Chinese politician? And is there a typo on the Houdini one?

Ugh, now the typo-ridden sentence I got makes no sense. Combining it either with itself or the drowssorc doesn't seem to make any sense...

I don't think they have provided their own corrections yet (I don't see an update on the codex yet), but up thread is my suggestion for making it mostly solvable. It trades one set of errors for a less fatal one, but if you take that into account, you can at least get the desired results.

I saw that and figured I'd mis-fixed the typo - thought it was save not shade - got it now. Must say, not impressed with CNC these days. Know I'm not alone here.

I'm currently choosing to view the downturn in puzzle-setting skills as being part of the story for now. And as I venture more into making my own puzzles, I have a much deeper appreciation of the art and of the various pitfalls. But like most people here, I'm hoping there will soon be an uptick in the puzzle number and depth again. V3 was just brilliant in so many ways. (And, as far as I know, still isn't fully solved.)

The new word search is now correct. It works.

You’d think they would send out an email to subscribers (or even a printed copy in the mail)

You’d think they would send out an email to subscribers (or even a printed copy in the mail) MPC doesn’t bother communicating directly with its customers Regarding issues. The only thing they do is send out their advertising emails. Is the main reason for my Disillusionment with this company. Weeks ago I had an email exchange with them and they admitted that they should have done better with communication. Yet absolutely nothing changes. Weeks go by and they’re still not talking to us.
