I started CNC with Volume Three, and I have to say I enjoyed it much more than Volume Four. I hope there is more involved with this Volume than I have seen this far.

I should qualify one thing about my first impression. When I say "much better than Brain Butchers," I considered Brain Butchers to be a dumpster fire, so almost anything would have been better. Just about to start tackling the puzzles, but I read the paper and it's fine; the writing has improved somewhat. I do legitimately enjoy the artifact though; easily the best of the year so far.

So, after spending a little time with this issue, I love the clocktopus...I think the articles are much better than last month's and I even found the curios a nice change (not a huge difference but nice and unexpected). Some of the puzzles are much more challenging this month, and even the easier ones were different so that was nice. The other issues have each had two hidden messages (either in the paper or on the box). So far I haven't been able to find anything that points to any message. The only thing that looks odd to me is: the numbers on the Watchwinder's Apprentice and some of the numbers on the labels in the box describing the items.

It is cool that they mention Horace McCabe’s announcement for Andrew McCabe’s birth in the Personal Notes. Hmmm! I wonder if he will show up again.

I don't know which came first, the (however slight) alteration to Clockwork Mutineers, or our feedback about the disappointment with GoM and BB, but I at least feel like they're listening to us and adjusting appropriately.

They're both pretty assuredly dead, so it's doubtful. We have only Patel's letter as confirmation of Andrew's death. She certainly seems to have her own agenda.

Since the birth announcement for Andrew McCabe’s birth is contemporaneous with this paper, there is an opportunity to effect a change that could alter Andrew’s future. Perhaps, it will....

Oh that's true... time travel verb tense confuses.

I got my C&C yesterday, and after the delay and the problems with the customs office last time, this time everything went smooth and fast. I like the theme and the curio and was pleased with the articles. I did not look at the puzzles yet but know what to expect because I was reading your comments on them. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it this time much more than last time.
