I've only given the items a cursory review, but I'm glad to see they broke the pattern a bit this issue. I will forever term this tchotchke the clocktopus.

I got mine today. Didn't see anyone else here talking about it so thought I'd chime in. I got the Volume 3 catchup a little while ago and went straight to this issue, skipping over the previous two since everybody was saying there wasn't an overarching story any more.
Overall I feel this one was worth my time. The packaging is pretty great and I love all of the curios (particularly the postcards!)
I do have an affinity for time travel fiction so I'm sure that's been a big part of it though. Haven't had a chance to read through all the contents yet.

I'm now intrigued by the Horoscopes. They seem to be about movies...but so were the other issues...there must be more...

These are very first impressions (haven't done any of the puzzles yet) but I'm much happier with this than Brain Butchers. Curios are more interesting, the puzzles look much more creative (and one of them looks pretty difficult), and in just glancing at the paper, the ads look well done, I actually laughed at some of the TV listings, and there's no clear Tempus Fugit connection that I could see, so these are all good directions for them to be heading in. Also for those of us who solved Volumes 1-3, make sure to check the Personal Notes for a lovely callback. I'm not claiming that this is as good as say the earlier days or anything, but it's fine and there's, at long last, no papercraft!

Interestingly, the inside cover of the box still refers to one of the curios as a papercraft Also, already found some hidden things...

Got mine tonight. I also gave it a cursory look, as it's too close to my bedtime to start anything. I am still satisfied with C&C. Naturally I agree it could still be better, but I'm not dissatisfied to the point of complaint just yet. I shall be waiting for 2018 to see where they are taking this boat. I am not yet inclined to jump ship.

I like the artistic direction of this box, they played off of the mid-20th century's image of the sci-fi and the future in the ads, the lapel pin, booklet, the mutineers on the front I can feel the atompunk

Since it will take like forever until C&C arrives here in Germany I just couldn't resist taking a look at this thread-and I'm delighted that it seems to have gotten much better. Can't wait to see it with my own eyes.

I'm happy to read this thread because I spent a few minutes perusing the contents of box and tabloid last night and felt "eh." So, hopefully I'll feel a bit more inspired when I have the time to dive deeper.
I'd like to thank Todd so appropriately naming the curio.

Although no mention of To Say Nothing of the Dog, which is IMHO her best work.
