That about sums it up for me too, honestly. On all points. You can add my name too.

Does anyone give a flying crap about the papercraft booklets? I think those are being directed to entirely the wrong crowd of people.

Does anyone give a flying crap about the papercraft booklets? I think those are being directed to entirely the wrong crowd of people. I think the only one that cares is the papercraft "artist" that sold the MPC on them being the next big thing. I'd bet good money on that guy being related to someone at the MPC. Maybe a nephew or something. Give it up MPC...you're not making papercraft happen.

I'm still dragging my feet on Volume 3 Issue 2. I just need to sit down and do all the puzzles, I'm just really intimidated by the stack puzzle and the one with all the agents in the different directions that's basically a giant word problem. That being said, I don't want the puzzles in future issues to be dumbed down to my level. I'll go through the forum threads for each puzzle like everyone else and I'll make it happen some day. I don't want puzzles for puzzles' sake. What I really want is something more akin to Volume 1 and 2 where the puzzles were Andrew leading us down a rabbit hole to uncover an overarching story. Maybe Volume 3 DOES do that, I don't know. What I'm trying to say in this long-winded post is that I basically agree also and sure, add my name too, please.

Hello all and especially Todd, I too agree that the current year is disappointing. I too felt very special when I unlocked each piece of the vault in 3. Or tried to sleuth out what was going on with Andrew in 1 & 2 volume as well. Add my name!

Does anyone give a flying crap about the papercraft booklets? I think those are being directed to entirely the wrong crowd of people. Lol. I actually come from the other end. I highly enjoy papercraft but go much more for realistic looking steampunk models. The crafts offered by C&C are boring me with their comic design. Perhaps they are meant to be funny with the moving stuff and so, but I am just bored by them. Never even started to assemble.. And yes, please Todd, add my name too. I was so happy to find this community, in real life I am always the weird one, but here I felt kinda at home. And C&C offered food for my brain and my beauty seeking soul and my never ending hunger for mystery and digging deeper and learning. It was far from the dull mainstream stuff everywhere around me, far from the easy answers, but now mainstream slowly takes over. This makes me feel sad and disappointed.

Thanks to some back and forth with the MPC, I've been told (or at least it was heavily implied) that the papercraft has consistently gotten negative feedback in their surveys, so they are well aware that it isn't popular. I can't imagine it continuing past this year (that is, if C&C continues past this year).

I enjoyed the comaraderie, challenge, and the intrigue of the vault. All three are lost. I agree with Todd and you can add my name to the letter as well.

As I'm sure you already know, I and many of the others on this forum are more than happy to lend a hint and a hand to anyone intimidated, stuck on, or otherwise entangled in a puzzle.

Please add my name as well. I was thoroughly engrossed and entranced by V1 and V2, got confused by V3 because I was in the process of moving and changing careers, but hung in there enough to remain at the very least enthusiastic about the puzzling and the community that surrounded it. I was so excited to dive into V4 and feel like I'm trying to unsuccessfully reignite a spark with past lover. I'm remembering what was, and I'm searching for it (hence all that time I've spend with the statue and the lobotomy illustration) but maybe what was so attractive has just faded away. I just want some mind-bending puzzles that require me to ask for help, repeatedly, and then thrill me when they're solved, dammit!

Does anyone give a flying crap about the papercraft booklets? I think those are being directed to entirely the wrong crowd of people. I tried making the last papercraft (Baba Yaga's house) and it came out flimsy. 3 hours of my life that I will never get back. Papercraft may be fun for kids but simply put I don't care for them. I nearly screamed in frustration when a papercraft showed up in Filagree in Shadow final package!

While I enjoyed the vault in V3, I was more entranced by the story threaded thru V1 &V2. I loved the mystery and adventure. V3 was a pleasant break, but I hope MPC once again asks us to explore intrigue and international or even inter-temporal paths. I was particularly pleased with The many conflicting dates I found. I still worry at them, wondering........... . *** I don't believe MPC can stay static and still make a profit, so I am willing to accept the slightly less enjoyable volumes as long as I am still hopeful that volumes more to my liking will get their chance to shine as well.
