The artifact was a head that looked almost like it was supposed to be a stereoscope, if only lenses and proper pictures had been included.

I saw those too from a few sites. It looks like they require there to be holes in the sides of the mask though. The extra lip on the top of it might help hold it up though.

I got the impression from looking at the other pictures that you could bend the arms to hold it on the underside of the eye holds or the bottom of the mask (or something like that). I didn't watch the video though.

. I mean, it's kinda neat and I'm sure a lot of work was put into the thing to make it even physical...but it doesn't speak to me at all.
