I just got the free postcard for this today, and the rabbit hole is much deeper than I expected for a free teaser. The story is really compelling, there are some interesting interactive elements, and overall it just seems really well put together. I'm liking this very much so far and have high hopes for the case files. I've already subscribed, and I'll share more of my assessment once I get my first case.

I received a "bonus" case (1957 - The Origin) today for subscribing; it acted as a nice introduction to the back-story. It didn't take overly long to complete (less than 2 hours) but it was quite a bit of fun, and I really enjoyed the immersion from getting email from Sullivan regarding my progress.
I also like how the case fits into a file folder so that I can store it in my file cabinet in my desk. I find keeping all the materials for several mail-order mysteries separated and organized to be an ongoing task, and I appreciate when companies make this easier for me.

That might be the newest bonus case; I do have something on the way from them. Ooh, now I'm even more excited.

I ordered Case #7 and #8 but didn't get any bonus materials. My guess is that you have to subscribe. Although I enjoyed 7 and 8, I'm still on the fence about subscribing. Also, I didn't get any more information about Isaac King, from the postcard free case.

When you do, you'll get mailed an envelope with, typically, a congratulations write-up summarizing the case, a thank you letter from the person who you helped (and often a small artifact from that person related to the case), and then the next piece of the Isaac case. If you solve four cases correctly, you'll get a free bonus box that's a full case and part of the ongoing Isaac mystery, and it's often a bit harder than the normal cases.

I just solved both 7 and 8 in the last 2 days so I expect I will get my envelope soon. What are your favorite cases?? Thanks again !!!!!

Oh boy, there've been so many. This is going to be a big cop-out, but I've most enjoyed the bonus cases I think. They have a bit more of a bite to them difficulty-wise. There were also two earlier cases, 2 and 5, that had chemistry elements that were really cool and fun. Unless they've updated it though, Case 2 has the old email system where you have to send about thirty emails back and forth to solve cases, which is really annoying. I remember liking 5 quite a bit, though the "mystery" of the culprit's identity was very obvious in that one.

Received and solved Case # 7 and #8 ! Still on the fence about subscribing so I've ordered #5 and #10. ( #2 is sold out! ) Interesting experience.
