Looks like I needed a handsome display stand. The fact that they offered one might have tipped us of to the fact that the Artifact does not stand well on its own, I suppose. Blast and curses!

The jigsaw puzzle seems to have taken the wind out of everyone's sails.

Finished with the Jigsaw
after two nights. Had the time to sit and decode everything from the fourth mailing this afternoon. I'm a little more intrigued by what's going on in the overall narrative after reading some of the coded bits, especially regarding Mr. Griggs.
After reviewing the Kickstarter stuff people have been kind enough to repost, I agree with some of the theories about what's coming in the last mailing, assuming the Company stays true to their advertising. I must say, this being my fourth experience behind the Century Beast, Under the Ceiba Tree, and the Demon Jar, Filigree is fighting with DJ for my favorite, largely due to this mailing. Between the crate itself and the 3 major items (counting the many similar items as one) in it, there was so much to enjoy in a single box! Also, I love the elegant solution to the cipher. I had cracked it after mailing two, but I would not have noticed the pattern it came from on my own. It's tempting to start using it with friends because once you know the trick, it's so much faster to work with.

We finished the jigsaw puzzles last night as well. Unfortunately, we ended up with two missing pieces, but they were very minor ones. Nothing with actual symbols on them. I will suggest putting everything on the original blueprints once you're finished. It ends up looking very cool. I also love the fact that they included a playmat in the first mailing, and the item that completes it in the fourth one. Very cool. Tonight will be decoding everything, which is actually quite a lot. Here are a few tips I can offer to those still struggling piecing everything together... -Pay attention to the color of the walls. There are two smaller sections that can be completed fairly quickly if you pull out the lines that are more green-grey than dark grey.
-Don't get caught assuming you know where the edges are going. They take some pretty dramatic turns.
-Also pay attention to the green color that represents outside the house. It changes shades quite a bit, and you can match those up.
-Once you have the frames done, try to assemble some rooms and make educated guesses what floor of the house they might go on.

To clarify, the display stand was only offered at the 999+ CA levels right? I don't remember it as an add on. Though I also don't remember a t-shirt in the initial package and apparently there was haha.
ETA: I haven't ordered Tempus Fugit yet (though perhaps soon?) but the only other artifact I had trouble displaying was the Weeping Book, which was easily solved with a cheap easel for a plate or something from the craft store. Not sure this fits in the same way. Oh, and the giant aspect of the Lost Treasure... it is still in a tube.

You know I'd forgotten all about the t-shirt, something else to be included with the 5th mailing I assume. The fabric on the interior of the eyepieces of the artefact certainly suggests further items to come. I for one agree that the wording on the KS certainly more than suggested that the artefact would have interactive elements, and that these were increased by a stretch goal. Although I also remember stretch goals on Century Beast that never came to pass.

My puzzle has 8 missing pieces and can confirm it is intended to be whole. If you're missing pieces I suggest contacting MPC.

Darn. I must have been in a frugal stage when that option was there haha

It was logical not to order the stand because no previous artifact required one.

If my memory serves correctly, was there not also meant to be a diorama of the house as a stretch goal?

Just completed the puzzle and deciphered the text. I'm pleased with it, but I like jigsaw puzzles.
I also missed the note about upgrading to include a stand. Alas.

I am really loving this experience. I absolutely adore the jigsaw puzzle. I don't have an aptitude for that sort of thing, but my wife and children do. As such, it's become a family affair, with everyone invested in getting it done. My cats have deigned to be distracted by other things, so we have had it set up for days. Between the cut of the puzzle, the irregular borders, and the monotonous designs and colors, it's become a very satisfying challenge. I like that the MPC is letting more of their penchant for cryptography and puzzles show through in their experiences. It makes things so much more engaging and rewarding. I hope that's the sign of an ongoing trend. I wonder - what other experiences do folks recommend that are similar? The Weeping Book scratched my itch in this regard, but while the experience formally known as Under the Ceiba Tree was neat (with great materials and some rewarding internet research), it fell short in the realm of puzzles. Unless, of course, I missed something!

I had a blast with this experience. It was also a great bonding time with my 5 year old as he helped me to complete it. My family were surprised I finished it as quickly as I did. To be honest I was too. Cannot wait to mount it on some board for display.

Ugh. After five days, and working on the puzzle over an hour a day, I only have a few small areas built. I'd be grateful if anyone who has completed it could please PM me a photo! Failing that, I might give up.
