I just cannot seem to get the writing that lives upon a corollary to an inedible bit of cow. The rest worked out fine. I feel like I'm missing something...

I am hoping someone will eventually post a picture of the completed puzzle. With four cats in the house the likelihood I can complete the puzzle without losing pieces is slim to none. Oh my! You shouldn't complain though, Trudy and Tucker, two curious quail I live with, investigated the then in-progress puzzles last night. I have hardwood floors, so they launched every piece they ran across a different direction. Frustrating and delightful at the same time!

Another few hours struggling with those damned jigsaw puzzle pieces! Argh! Here is a hint: You can probably assume major floors on a blueprint to be about the same shape. And another: Not everything you expect to be symmetrical is. Be flexible. If you had a house like the one in the blueprint, what would be your tallest part? And yet one more: There are many non-goblin words that stretch across pieces and can help you start to build from within. Just don't get frustrated. I had so much fun constructing it!

Alas, I'm up too late with this, but permit me one frivolous anecdote about the "artifact": The mask is built quite like a stereopticon, and I suspect the next mailing will contain stereoscopic pictures, perhaps made from the very camera our goblin used to capture his own image in the mirror?
Examining my mask, imagine my surprise when I found that if I rested my chin comfortably on the tongue and touched noses, the eyes converged at the perfect distance to view stereoscopic pictures without a lens! I've spent the evening pouring through the pages of my copy of Nazarieff's "The Stereoscopic Nude 1850-1930" and giggling incessantly! And yes, touching noses with a goblin while resting my chin on his tongue, is something I'd certainly ride a trolley across town and stand in line for, despite never previously being able to imagine those words in that order!

Finally finished the puzzle last night. Today's task is deciphering all the text on it.
Also feel the pain re: cats. Threw a sheet over it and tied that down to keep ours from harming it while not around.

Am I the only poor catless bastard around here then!

Am I the only poor catless bastard around here then! My beloved 20 year old kitty passed earlier this year, so I am, sadly, catless now too. He would have made puzzle-crafting a daunting but entertaining task, though, as he loved to roll around in puzzle pieces and bat them around when he was still here.

My condolences.

Am I the only poor catless bastard around here then! Yes. * Was anyone else happy to find that the artifact was not what a lot of us expected?? TBH, I nearly passed on the whole Experience because I had no idea what I'd do with the suspected item, and every time it was brought up after the KS (especially after I'd redeemed my ticket), I second-guessed my decision to go ahead with it anyway. *ETA: Posted before I saw The Mad Mermaid's comment about her cat. I'm sorry for your loss.

Looks like I needed a handsome display stand. With all the cat love (condolences as well), it sounds like they need to craft an experience around our feline friends. I'm planning on heading to the craft store this weekend to see if I can come up with a good idea for a stand. Maybe we should create a post to share ideas or what we ended up creating.

I'm sorry for your loss. I actually was, though I can see the frustration that one might have regarding it not really being what was advertised in the beginning. I honestly think it's my favorite Artifact they've ever made, and now I'm looking forward to figuring out how to display it properly. It will definitely be a conversation starter when guests come over, that's for sure. And I may be fortunate among the cat people here, since as long as I have one hand free to pet/scratch her head with, my cat is very content to just sit on my lap and purr while I solve puzzles. Wanton destruction is not her thing, unless it's a cricket out in the garden.

Perhaps we should release a barrage of emails to MPC asking them to make the Display Stand that was offered during the Kickstarter available to those of us who didn't purchase it then because we didn't know what the artifact was going to be.... I'm probably the only one who will say that I'd have been much happier with this mailing if they hadn't included the jigsaw puzzle. It takes me right out of the story, and I've never enjoyed them anyway.
