Yay! I finally finished the jigsaw puzzle. What an enormous agonizing pain in the arse it was. But I do feel a sense of accomplishment because it's the first jigsaw I've ever done. I weep for your childhood

I had a very happy childhood, but it was one that did not include puzzles because they were impossible and frustrating. If you didn't watch the Jetsons and the Flintstones as a kid, and eat a lot of Lucky Charms, then I weep for you.

Heads up for anyone who should be getting a stand, it won't be coming with the tshirt, just got an email back saying "As for your artifact strand, those who were lucky enough to secure one can expect it to ship after tee shirts. An email outlining further details on how to acquire your stand will be sent shortly so keep an eye out. How thrilling!" So sadly we have to wait but, at least we know we are getting them

Similarly for those of us who did not order the stand and are now sad, this was my reply email I received:
Greetings Steve,
Forgive my delay in getting back to you. I am afraid I am unable to post any images or descriptions of the Filigree Artifact Stand at this time as it has not been released to those who ordered it. I promise that as soon as they ship to their forever homes, there will be images available, which you can expect to see within the next few months. I hope this was somewhat helpful Steve, and should you have any further questions, comments, or concerns, one of our caring concierges will be delighted to help however possible.
Have a great week Steve!

Also the phrase "Forever home" freaks me out. Isn't that what we say about adopting a pet? Do you think they are shipping animal heads? lol

Have a great week Steve! Josephine a Concierge with Member Services at The Mysterious Package Company That's a real bummer. It also seems to me, having seen a few responses from MPC on a variety of issues lately, including the rapid cancellation of Cold Signal, that responses are increasingly reading more like standard form letters where a name is simply dropped in at a few points instead of reading more like a personal and curated response. Also a bummer.

I might as well re-crate it for the time being, I guess? Or see if I can inexpensively build/procure something along the lines of a wooden plate-display stand. ^That's what I have the weeping book on. Not sure this would fit the same way, but maybe? I'll give it a look tonight.

I haven't actually had a chance to head to the craft store yet, but the wife and I are thinking to start with a doll stand (as previously mentioned).
We're thinking it would work if you put the two halves at the top that make the full circle through the eyes, and cut them down if they look goofy. Then, attach something to the base to make the goatee sit a little better.

I've looked at the doll stands online at amazon (after it was suggested here) and think one might work. I would paint it black or crimson.

I haven't finished the... portion of the mailing yet. Jigsaw puzzle However, my fiance guessed it was going to be... related to the item in the original mailing, and would also contain goblin script. I'll work on it over the weekend. Meanwhile, I'm pleased with the overall contents, including the artifact and... the item wrapped in gauze Once everything is complete, I'm going to put all contents in the box (except the display items) and store it in the attic for future folks to uncover and solve.

I never did unwrap the item in gauze. Is it worth doing so?
