Actually I'll late back "Who goes There?" A boardgame based on the book the Thing movies are based upon. I backed this. I've been looking forward to it.

Wow, it will be almost 18 months with no products shipped from Armchair Detective. I think they bit off more than they could chew.

Wow, it will be almost 18 months with no products shipped from Armchair Detective. I think they bit off more than they could chew. I was quite surprised, after seeing the pictures of what looked to be nearly completed products, to hear them talking about puzzle development. I has assumed that design was pretty much wrapped up and it would enter production upon the close of the campaign.

I have sent an email off to Shelby Arnold. Will report back with the response.

I sent ADC an email several weeks (or a couple months) ago. The subject was "Things I want to say". I gave them both negative and positive feedback. One of the negatives I mentioned was my surprise that they were only starting to source boxes well after the campaign ended. Of course ADC was the very first campaign I had ever been a part of. I am very surprised that at this point they have not provided a new shipping window. I also told them that I worried that the fact that they have not yet set up an online storefront. I thought this was to be a new venture with future products created. Now it seems to me that the three boxes sold during the campaign will be all that there ever will be. It makes me very sad, as I was very excited when I first discovered ADC, and was thrilled that I was able to purchase all three boxes.

They do have a website, which I imagine will be their "store" once they get their experiences manufactured and ready to sell.

Well, so far I haven't been refunded by MPC although my store credit does appear - anyone actually received a refund for Cold Signal yet?

Ah, mine too has just come through - I've been hit with exchange rate charges on both paying and refunding, so I'm way out of pocket over it, but...

You should voice a complaint over that until you are made whole financially.

I am a bit envious, I must admit that. For me, it was always Star Wars. That opening shot of the Devastator chasing the Tantive IV over Tatooine must have been glorious back in the day. I mean, I still love it, but seeing something like this back when no-one was used to that sort of thing? Magnificent. It was. Oh, it was! I saw it opening day in '77. I saw it 7 times on the big screen in rapid succession, and I was enthralled with the rest of the audience every single time. This was me for Halloween that year, LOL!

I know the old movies are often being criticised for their lack of female characters, but the one they did include, they made pretty damn awesome, if you excuse my language!

Not opening day, but I also saw Star Wars (back when it was only called "Star Wars") 7 times in '77.
The other kids at school thought I was Star Wars obsessed.

My recollection of seeing Star Wars on opening day was this: it was one of the most poorly written, poorly acted, and poorly directed major Hollywood films I had seen. My opinion has not changed.
