I have noticed that while the first shipment is scheduled to be December 15th, the second shipment is not going out until a month later.

I have noticed that while the first shipment is scheduled to be December 15th, the second shipment is not going out until a month later. Is that normal timing? I thought the mailings are normally closer together than that. STILL waiting on first mailing of Risen! to arrive!

No it is not normal...which says to me that these Experiences are still being developed...and the items needed for the Experience still have not been created and produced. Which is concerning considering how what they marketed in FiS was not what the end result was. Frankly I wish they would not market and sell Experiences that are not fully developed and tested. From what I understand Century Beast has been revised many times over. Still I could not resist purchasing.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

From what I understand Century Beast has been revised many times over. Still I could not resist purchasing. To be fair, with The Century Beast the Company took a chance and tried something new - namely a modular Experience that would work with a variable number of mailings utilising a greater amount of different media than ever before. Personally, while I thought the story had quite some untapped potential, I still enjoyed the end result a great deal. All in all, while they did not fulfill every pledge they made, it was very much worth the shot. At least that is how I feel, and I understand that people might be more miffed about it than I am.

Actually I think it has something to do with the fact that it's Christmas time and even MPC employees want these days off.

I am really going to have to start saving my money. This looks amazing, but I've already spent waaaay too much and haven't even seen a single experience or puzzle in real life yet! Maybe I'll get lucky and one of my kids will want me to order this one for them for a Christmas gift after we start Risen! Who am I kidding though? They're teenagers. They're going to want clothes or gadgets. I keep trying to tell them that experiences (not only MPC experiences) are so much better than things, but I remember being that age! Maybe they'll surprise me.

Maybe they'll surprise me. Be with them when they undo the box for Risen - maybe even take charge - read the stuff out loud (or get one of them to read it out loud) before unwrapping the artifact. Unwrap it slowly. If you can, keep the business side of the artifact towards you so they only see the wrapping and the back of it. Then turn it around. I did that and freaked the heck out of my teens.

I sure hope it can get to the U.S. before Christmas, but that may be too much to hope for.
