Just some fussy notes after having looked through all of the emails we've received from George since 2017. The USB stick is just a trinket. I downloaded the videos off YouTube using Video Download Helper on Firefox before it came. Was, of course, assuming that there would be more on it. More content is implied, but not explicitly stated, in the update emails. No one has mentioned the add-ons of the T-shirt and two posters. Is it just that no one bought these, or no one cares? For those who didn't download the Christmas card/gift card for people who bought the experience for friends, here is the text and links from the email sent out on 12/22/2017: Just a little printable Christmas card for those who pre-ordered for friends. The first link is for one you can print out and fold into a card. The second is just the images, for those that might want to do something different, like make a postcard or gift tag or just send them in an e-mail.
Sorry it’s a bit close to the big day, but I hope it’s of use to a few people. Thanks very much, and Merry Christmas.

The zoetrope and small automaton for Mayan Mishap were supposed to be die cut, not delivered to us in large sheets that we have to cut out. The weight of the stock on what was delivered to us is not really up the strength these items require. How many folks have actually cut out and assembled these items? Did you have any problems? Done fussing now.

So it took some persistence, but I got a lengthy reply from George regarding both replacing my broken stereoscope (sent out today for free) and about the promised online content. I'm going to put it behind spoilers just in case there's someone who wants to approach this experience with absolutely no info outside of what came in the box, but there's nothing here that ruins a puzzle or reveals any kind of solution to anything. Let's just say that the original idea for the online content did not go as planned... As for the extra websites – it’s something we ran into trouble with very recently. The original intention was to have the videos you see on the website at the moment dispersed over a couple of phony websites, like a fake internet archive type site, and the homepage of a conspiracy theorist who was ‘on to’ the whole mystery.
However, a few problems came up with this idea after the campaign. One was that a lot of people wanted to play the game offline, and to have all necessary data on USB sticks. This meant that we couldn’t hide anything significant on a fake website, like a clue, without also including a copy of the website on the USB so that offline players would have all relevant information. That was fine though; we resolved to address this by just using the sites as ‘flavour text’ or ‘window dressing’ for the videos – adding a bit of flair and back-story, but not containing anything really important to solving a puzzle.
So that’s what we set out to do. However, the next concern was that a lot of backers seemed to like the idea of having everything you need in one place, and we began to wonder if having necessary pieces so spread out among different domains might confuse more people than it would excite. And then, recently, just before shipping out, we ran into some technical problems with getting the sites up and working together, and we couldn’t delay things any further to get them working how we wanted. So ultimately we had to make the call to just put the videos up on the main site, and drop the idea of the other sites for the meantime. However, this is not a solution I am particularly happy with, so I’m doing more work on it…
We still have an unfinished community hunt, which is a quite tricky one, which I now have some time to be able to work on again. The idea is to incorporate those ideas into this hunt, weaving in narratives from the game across some different sites, and leading to a big answer that everyone can solve together. Like a sort of free add-on pack. I’m also looking into the idea of giving away a prize of some sort for the first solver, however, this might turn out to be legally difficult (just running a competition across multiple countries is looking to be quite difficult to keep legal, but I’m trying to work it out – it may just have to be for glory in the end!).
Either way, this was one of the only big compromises I had to make on the original campaign, after getting almost every other thing out exactly as I intended. But, as I say, I still intend to do something about it, so that the beginner players who want everything all in one place and kept pretty simple are happy, but the more hardcore players also have something else to sink their teeth into. I guess in a big project like this those sorts of compromises have to be made sometimes, but I really liked the idea and so I’m still going to find a way to get it done.

No one has mentioned the add-ons of the T-shirt and two posters. Is it just that no one bought these, or no one cares? I actually bought the posters and they are great. About the size of legal size paper...but great quality. I haven't tried the heat activated one yet, but the glow is the dark one is very cool. Great additions.

I got the heat poster and t-shirt. Poster worked great in front of a space heater. T-shirt is pretty cool. Sizing and quality look great.

I emailed George on the 15th about my missing page but filled my email with compliments about the game otherwise. I received an answer on the 16th. To those of you expecting missing pieces... My missing piece will be delivered tomorrow. George said he would mail it out that day (the 16th) so it took 9 days to get across the ocean to me in PA. Not bad! Nevermind all that^^. Was fooled by my HP instant ink. Still waiting.

An update today that they're currently selling off all remaining copies of Wilson Wolfe that they have in their warehouse, and that they're working on a new game. Here's the update in full: Hi everyone, I just wanted to give a quick update. Firstly thank you to everyone for all your patience throughout our campaign, we finally made it to the end and we hope you’re enjoying the game. We have had lots of feedback and we have taken it all on board for the next project (especially the packaging). I mainly wanted to let you all know that when ordering all the parts of the game we over ordered by around 10% to cover loss and damages as we had no idea how many we would need to send out. We have finally sorted the warehouse out and boxed up the leftover parts and have a few games spare which we will be putting up for sale onto a Backerkit online store today. I will post the link below if anyone wanted to buy another copy or had any friends that wanted one. simulacragames.backerkit.com/hosted_preorders We really appreciate your continued support throughout this journey we have all been on together. We are now working on another game and as soon as it is ready we will let everyone know. Until then we hope you’re enjoying The Wilson Wolfe Affair. George

You would think they would use the leftover stock to replace all the damaged paper items ....
