I'm still thinking there are some parts missing from the blueprints. Like you said, everything seems a bit too jumbled to make anything cohesive. I'm willing to bet we'll see additions to the blueprints, if not a direct connection between it and the artifact. a projection on to the blue prints, didn't think of that until I saw your comment Ding ding ding

Deciphered the code, except for the last few mentioned by Todd. Read all the documents. What is uppermost in my mind right now I think Beth Siggers, mentioned as a patient of the Doctor, is really Lizzy Griggs. She speaks of her parents as if they are still alive, and she is obviously trying to find something in the doctor's house, which if my assumption that is is Lizzy is correct, then the do tor's house, used to be her home. A place she might have strong memories of. But at the moment I am not seeing anything else to pursue until we are given more materials. I think that assumption makes the most sense. I am also curious about a potential tie in between two items in the first mailing and their encoded messages. In the photo of the man and girl (assuming Griggs and his daughter), if you look at the mantel there seems to be a mask on it that bears some resemblance to the child's drawing. Feel like the messages relate as well, though my working theory is that Griggs himself is the strange figure in the drawing, or in some manner becomes akin to it. Though I could be grasping. Oh man. That could get really dark...and potentially really edgy. Maybe too far?

I vaguely remember choosing the darkest option. I've had a hand following me in the dark since I was a little girl. I figured MPC couldn't come up with anything worse.

I was a child, not a toddler but before puberty. My mother sent me to the basement (finished) to tell my father lunch was ready. My mother was the sports fan in the family. My father liked old movies, and black and white were the best. There was a TV in the basement, and after I gave the message to my father I stood there watching to see what movie was on. I learned my love of old movies from my dad. A man was poking in a fireplace with a fireplace poker. Slowly I noticed a hand resting on a log in the fireplace. Yech, I thought, he burned a body in the fireplace!? Then the fingers of the hand moved. And slowly it crawled out of the fireplace. Just the hand. As the hand reached up to touch the man's knee, I positively fled upstairs. Soon after that we moved to South Korea, which at the time was still obviously damaged by war, with bomb craters and destroyed buildings pretty much everywhere. South Korea is an old country, and the hand followed me there. I've never been able to get rid of it. It hides in dark corners, especially dark stairwells. Ready to reach out for me. I've never watched that movie. I'm pretty sure I know which one it is, but I refuse to watch it.

My first thought was that Lizzy was the monster in the mirror, because you normally see yourself when you look in a mirror. But the decoded message on the photo certainly doesn't seem to support that theory. I wonder what the answer will be? SdIn the photo of the man and girl (assuming Griggs and his daughter), if you look at the mantel there seems to be a mask on it that bears some resemblance to the child's drawing. Doing some more reading on the documents and decided to pull The Goblin Market off the shelf for a reread. Instantly noticed the names of the sisters in the poem, Lizzie and Laura. So if the poem is inspiration or reflective of our story here, then that could give some clues to the story. In the poem, the sister Lizzie faces the goblin men to save her sister Laura, so I wonder if this means that Elizabeth Griggs will be doing much the same to somehow "save" her mother.

You make a good point. Well worth further consideration.

The cipher currently uses 20 different symbols, each mapping to a different letter . If you create a key, you should be able to see the pattern used to make the cipher, and thereby figure out 5 more symbols, leaving just one letter unrepresented. lordkensington , the Blueprint seems random to me as well. But it also seemed to by more a spattering of letters than anything structured. I'll probably revisit it sometime soon, but I didn't include it on my worksheet because of its randomness. Having decoded everything, I got 21 different symbols used so far. However, I must confess to not quite seeing the pattern that would give me the rest of the letters. A PM would be welcome, as I've been staring at it for a while and have some guesses but I'm not confident. Also, to anyone who may be unsure, some of the symbols are a bit off in both light/dark levels and in their positioning, which I could see causing some confusion, but just keep it simple; as you decode, if it looks like a symbol you've decoded but just a little off, it's going to be that symbol and not some kind of variation.

I'll double check my notes. It's possible I skipped a symbol making my key.
Edit: You are correct. 21. I missed a letter that was used once when putting my key together.
I've sent you a PM.

Mine arrived yesterday (September 13), but didn't get a change to really read through everything. I did notice the cipher on four different bits. I think it was four. The zoetrope was nice enough, but I'm not sure that it fits well. I'm uncertain about any of the stretch goals as being all that critical to the story.

This item does not fit the description of the stretch goal in question, though: $600,000: PAPERCRAFT. At this funding level, the addition of a papercraft rendering of the house will be included with all Filigree in Shadow experiences alongside the reveal. We are excited about the interesting perspective this model will provide to those who are reminiscing about their journey.
And from Update No. 17: There is a wonderful, yet unexpected, milestone to rejoice! In the dying minutes of the campaign we achieved our fifth stretch goal of Papercraft, and well-fought after! As such, all backers who selected any variant of Filigree in Shadow we will receive a papercraft diorama of a scene at the heart of the experience. This addition to the experience shall grant you a physical representation of where your imagination has taken you. Of course, there might have been changes we are as of yet uninformed about.

In addition to the paranormal aspects of the story, there are the obvious mental health aspects in play as well that I believe are meant to make us question the validity of things and cast some doubts on to the various storytellers.
Certain species of morning glory, for example, contain LSA, a relative of LED. Not to mention the opium/laudenum aspects.
And this might be a non-starter, but I can't shake the feeling that Henry may have been molesting or otherwise abusing the girl, perhaps while wearing the goblin mask. That would be a particularly dark turn (and perhaps the one that some have hinted at) and certainly speak to a different sort of monster.

Not to mention that the herbs were being grown in the house and probably were watered with the water from the cheap lead pipes mentioned in the first mailing. One wonders what sort of effect that would have on inhabitants unwitting imbibing.
