Arrived....finally.....OMG. It's not a particularly big envelope. I don't think it's even as large as last years C&C envelopes were. When I saw it my first thought was that the email from the post office telling me it had arrived was a lie. But no. Here it is.

Argh! Nuthin. No shipping number, no nuthin. Phooey. This will be my final complaint on the subject. @thegenni, did you redeem your ticket before the first deadline? I think it was June 1st? I would be insane if I was a week behind everyone else thru no fault of my own. Yes, I did (and I received the first mailing). Just curious and wondering if some extra bits for the Seance add-on might be causing a later mailing. So, those of you have received the second mailing, did you sign up for the Seance add-on or not?

I sent them many pictures of my kitties to choose from. truly, if I were you I'd be asking why you seem to be a week behind everyone else. It's weird.

Oh my! I've solved the codes and transcribed all the secret writing! Much more now to contemplate...... Spooky, indeed!

So about that strip of paper with the goblins on it. Do we think that it may be one of the items that interacts with the artifact? Also, reading the bit about the "ghost" appearing in the mirror made me think of the Pepper's Ghost illusion. That's been mentioned in the past as a potential artifact as well. Lots of good stuff in this one, and I'm still taking my time to dig through. Like it had been said previously, there's a lot of reading.

Pretty sure the strip is an extra set of images for the zoetrope. The code is definitely crackable. The light/dark print isn't part of it.

Well spent the evening reading over the new documents and working out the code in both mailings. The message on the photo might be the creepiest, in my opinion. Definitely enjoying this so far. Not sure how I feel about the papercraft. The idea of the zoetrope is cool but not quite getting the intended result. Probably going to rig up something with wood over the weekend. Related to the code, I am able to get every document but the blueprints, which I just got some letters that don't seem to make anything. Granted it was the last document I was working on and it was late so maybe I just needed to reorient it or something. Any clues?

The cipher currently uses 20 different symbols, each mapping to a different letter . If you create a key, you should be able to see the pattern used to make the cipher, and thereby figure out 5 more symbols, leaving just one letter unrepresented. lordkensington, the Blueprint seems random to me as well. But it also seemed to by more a spattering of letters than anything structured. I'll probably revisit it sometime soon, but I didn't include it on my worksheet because of its randomness.

I'm still thinking there are some parts missing from the blueprints. Like you said, everything seems a bit too jumbled to make anything cohesive. I'm willing to bet we'll see additions to the blueprints, if not a direct connection between it and the artifact.

Deciphered the code, except for the last few mentioned by Todd. Read all the documents. What is uppermost in my mind right now I think Beth Siggers, mentioned as a patient of the Doctor, is really Lizzy Griggs. She speaks of her parents as if they are still alive, and she is obviously trying to find something in the doctor's house, which if my assumption that is is Lizzy is correct, then the do tor's house, used to be her home. A place she might have strong memories of. But at the moment I am not seeing anything else to pursue until we are given more materials.

No second mailing to check this yet, but as a collector of optical toys I coincidentally happen to have half a dozen Zoetropes of different sizes so will probably be able to view the strip without building the papercraft item .

I'll be interested in if you do with the proper equipment. One side clearly would have some action, but the other is seemingly static. Anyone see anything different?

I am also curious about a potential tie in between two items in the first mailing and their encoded messages. In the photo of the man and girl (assuming Griggs and his daughter), if you look at the mantel there seems to be a mask on it that bears some resemblance to the child's drawing. Feel like the messages relate as well, though my working theory is that Griggs himself is the strange figure in the drawing, or in some manner becomes akin to it. Though I could be grasping.
