Returned from a long vacation to find The Brain Butchers waiting for me.
I don't recall if this has been commented on earlier (I'm sure it has) but using these printed boxes has made receiving C&C very formulaic.
Box + newspaper + doodads + papercraft (really, is anyone making these things?) + artifact (which seemingly will be pewter castings). Even after just two boxes, the sameness of it is disconcerting. They look the same, and the contents are even laid in the same way.
And my concern is entirely separate from the contents of the individual issue of the C&C newspaper (which I enjoy reading even though I cannot solve a puzzle for spit).

I received my box on Friday in Alberta, Canada finally.
Even though I'm a fairly new subscriber, I confess to feeling similar to thegenii in that the boxes/contents are looking all the same. I was wondering if this was normal. I'm slowly working my way through Volume 1 (I know, I'm way behind!) but I did glance at the boxes as I've received them.

Actually, I found the Disagreeable Goat quite charming, but then it was something unique and weird. The same goes for the artifacts - I did not intend to start a collection of small pewter items - I much more enjoyed the little oddieties that used to come with the past three volumes of Curios & Conundrums.
The boxes are something I really do not care for at all. They make delivery a hassle, since they do not fit any mailbox, and they fit better on a shelf with my roleplaying games than with the artifacts and curios I already own!
The Company will be receiving feedback about this...

Received today. Technically got it August 30th, but I was gone this week and USPS decided, instead of leaving it on my doorstep, to hold it for pickup at a post office forty-five minutes away. But I finally have it, and everything is intact.

Still nothing over here in Bielefeld, Germany. But oddly I got a letter from the tax office today about some delivery from the US. But this could not be it, right? They have not changed their company location. Or do they have two now? Confused, since I did not order anything from the US..

MPC ships things destined for delivery in the US from a mailing agent in the US. I'm not sure how they handle the non-US shipments.

Another cat person here. They're the best. Have always had a cat since age 4. That's over half a century now.
