This won't be out until early next year, but I have a feeling this will interest more than a few people here due to it being heavily influenced by Lovecraft: www.moonsofmadness.com/moons/presskit/

Well, I'm definitely interested. I don't know if I'll have anything that can play it competently by the time it comes out, though. Hopefully it does well because I'm pretty excited that there's been an increase in Lovecraft-inspired games

Thank you, I will definitely keep an eye on this.
Speaking of, should the new Call of Cthulhu video game not see a release later this year?

Yeah, that should be a great experience! We will see - I am carefully optimistic about that. Adapting that slow-building horror of the Mythos stories into video games is tough; although I found that Dark Corners of the Earth was quite successful at it. Also there should be a mod replacing all instances of the Yellow Sign - if applicable - to the version used by The Mysterious Package Company!

Thanks for the tip! I highly enjoy playing psychological horror games( the last one I played was Layers of Fear, and Hellblade is still on my list, allthough they are not so much Lovecraft inspired), so I am really looking forward to it.

Yes, Hellblade is an absolutely incredible experience and very worth playing. I'm not sure if everything about it is successful (I found the combat interesting but sometimes very frustrating in a way that took me out of the experience), but it's so audacious and terrifying, and it actually taught me some things about mental illness that I didn't know. There's also nothing else like it out there.

I found the combat interesting but sometimes very frustrating in a way that took me out of the experience I was wondering why they were narrowing their appeal to a smaller target audience like that - they certainly lost people who did not like the combat and those who found everything outside the combat boring. But they probably felt that the way they made it would best fit their vision, and I really likes both. The thing that occasionally broke the flow a bit was the hunt for collectibles.

But they probably felt that the way they made it would best fit their vision, and I really likes both. The thing that occasionally broke the flow a bit was the hunt for collectibles. This is the rare game where I would say using a guide to help with collectibles is actually a good thing that can help enhance the experience. Thankfully, the collectibles are totally optional and honestly a bit underwhelming given that they don't do anything but provide flavor (though if you enjoy Norse mythology like I do, they're very interesting and well-done). The combat is an interesting thing: it's surprisingly deep if you play on Hard, as different enemies require vastly different strategies which can lead to some frantic on-the-fly battles, but it's also very tedious in that the basic structure and style is always the same, and it's presented as more of an endurance test rather than as something that flows with the gameplay. However, without spoiling anything, the endurance-like feel of the combat, and presenting the battles as obstacles in fixed places, is I'm sure an intentional piece of game design. This game is not exactly meant to be pleasant to play.
