I'm finding the "noise" if the second story keeps tugging me over while I'm trying to read the typed story. There is so much! Loving it so far though and I'm not even done chapter one yet. Probably the most story dense book I've read....ever I think. And with all the added bits that keep falling into my lap as I go it's got the most additional pieces I've been involved with as well. I'm all in already. Down the rabbit hole and still falling.

I recently completed the novel (couldn't put it down over the weekend) and found myself profoundly engrossed by its mysteries and its romances - both of the literary and the conventional sorts as well as every shade in between.
It is hard to gather up the entire landscape of its "fandom" (for lack of a better word) and decipher where the most promising leads are and what, after the excitement and initial promotion via additional digital artifacts, is yet to be understood. What, beyond the most pressing question, of course. I find myself just enjoying learning, and in some cases re-learning, about the enormous variety of topics the novel touches upon. Greek mythology, the fight for Indian independence from Britain, the significance of names, and, my most significant knowledge gap: cryptography.
This seems like the sort of place to find people who are or were as intrigued by this book.

I'm attacking a second read of the book this weekend, slower, and more methodically while researching and working through the codes. Theories aplenty are already dancing around in my head. So, a second read, with notebook for notes, and code writing etc. will take place. It has been a very long time in finding a book this deliciously intriguing!

I ordered my copy yesterday. It will be added to my list of books to read. I've heard so much good about it that it may jump to near or at the top of the list.

I finished my first read through S. I found the ending anticlimactic but I feel that I've just begun to scratch the surface of the book. I'm going to start again and take my time, especially organizing the story in the margins.

Been finding the layers of the second story a little more challenging...especially if you are able to follow Jen's first set of notes. the colours help but trying to follow how that story unfolds has been quite interesting.

I just got a notebook dedicated to my own S. notes. Have you visited whoisstraka.wordpress.com/ ? There's a lot of good info and even the "orignial" Chapter 10 manuscript. There are also some Radio Straka podcasts on iTunes but I haven't listened to them yet.

Been checking out some of the codes as well and double checking some of the translated material. So far a few items have revealed things that aren't on the website. And seem to fit as well.

I am currently working my way through the Curio Catchup Omnibus. I saw this thread and managed to refrain from ordering S. for three whole days. A new personal best in the willpower department...

Just bumping the thread.... I bought S. On Amazon prime a few days ago, since I’m in a bit of a puzzle drought, waiting for Wilson Wolfe. (There were many people recommending it on the WWA KS page comments, and then I found this thread). I haven’t been able to put the book down, and I’m not typically that type of reader. I’m avoiding related blogs, podcasts, etc., so as not to spoil anything, but I get the feeling reading this thread there is much more of an “experience” to this after the book.
I just finished chapter 5. Anyone still actively reading/working on this? Only $22 and well worth it.
