Has anyone worked through this? I somehow only just recently heard of it and ordered a copy.
Feel free to post opinions. I'll post mine once I've worked it.

This sounds great. I'm going to give it go.

I've only had a couple hours to play with this, but I think I can say that those who enjoyed Curios & Conundrums Volume 3 will enjoy this.

I have it on my desk and I'm looking forward to working on it on my upcoming vacation. Now if I can only think of a way to keep the cats from walking on and/or lying on the pages when I spread them out over the living room floor.

I put mine on a couple 4' x 3' presentation boards, as I don't have the space to spread them all out at once.

The hardest part for me (so far) was overcoming my adversity to desecrating a book.

I hung up the pages on a wall with painters tape. It worked great and kept it away from the cat.

Is any part of this specifically American? I took an educated guess that the bird was a jay and the symbol linked with this was walk cos you guys have jaywalking over there right? Not really a thing in the UK and the Walk sign isn't like that (and is really Go rather than Walk).
Reason I ask is some of these pictures in the Opening Puzzle seem rather obscure and the links...not very linky. And I don't know what the South picture on the top right of the top row is, a mirror? It feels like I'm fighting with picture identification rather than image linking to be honest.

I need to go back and revisit my Opening Puzzle. I know I have many mistakes in it, mostly in the bottom half, as many things still do not make sense to me.
I haven't figured out what that that boxy thing you describe in the top row is, either.
I do believe I did the same thing as you with the bird.
We managed to get enough of it figured out to guess at the solution, and we did find a path to follow from our guess. Let me know if you want to brainstorm on some of the picture combos..

So the Colophon notes the pictures were taken from The Noun Project - I thought I'd so a search there, maybe make my life a bit easier, and rapidly realised that was a terrible idea and there are thousands of icons and well, here's an example - so the top row I appear to have from this website, from left to right Boat Motor, Fox Revolve, Dress, Bridle Shirt, Golf, Present Card, Flower, Cloud Lotion/Bottle, Cherry, Chair/Sofa/Couch Pi, Foot, Frog Notes, Door, Pretzel, Jam, GodOnlyKnows/Mirror?/Window perhaps?
This order actually came from one of the very few pictures I could find online, but doesn't really work for me. I mean, I'm good with Dress shirt Golf card Cherry Pie Foot Notes Door Jam
But Motor Revolution? Flower Lotion? Or is it a whisky bottle? Get what I mean? And this is only the first row. First column seems OKish, but what is a Fox Trolley? Cart? Is a Fox Cart a thing? I get this from the rest of the sequence being Sc(r)ape Goats -> Gold Finger -> Go Monopoly -> Gum Shoe -> Grid Lock -> Jay Walk

I'm glad it's not just me, I haven't approached the middle bit yet....but ok, have posted my takes on the top row and left column for comments, will do the same on right column and bottom row later on...

I'm away from my board at the present, can you believe I don't carry it around with me? But the first pairing across the top row is motorcycle. I don't remember the flower and bottle images. On the first column, I started with Fox gnus. Other than that, my first column was much similar, except I don't recall the image you're calling sc(r)ape, which paired with the game board. I'll take a look when I get home.

Ah ok, so Go Kart then - the Scape I got from Scrape, from Scraper, from Ice Scraper, because it looks like one of those things I have to clear ice from my car windscreen. I guess then it's something Board and I just don't recognise it. As I'm on a roll, I put together my right hand column too Window -> Diamond/Ring -> Wall Paper -> Ewe Tube -> Pencil Something -> Buffalo Bill -> Ships Log -> Flag Staff
If I get excited/bored I do the bottom line I have too in a bit

I believe I went with Pencil in(n). My bottom row is wrong, I know, because I broke the rules and worked top to bottom, and I have many things there that do not make sense.
