Agree entirely - in fact I ground to a halt on this about mid-way through because I was just plain bored. Is it worth sticking through to the end?

I went through it about a year ago, so I don't remember much about the puzzles, but the story with the missing excavation team is mainly set decoration.

No helpful info as to the story.

I remember enjoying the puzzles about two-thirds of the way through this quite a bit (I feel like the puzzles in the 40s range), especially since some of those had online components that I wasn't expecting. But yeah, there's no story, and that is why I was so disappointed with the poorly proofread writing in Trip 1907, since a big piece of the attraction of that book was "Journal 29 with an actual story."

Just received and completed the sequel book. It was quite similar to the original, and a few puzzles required random leaps that we would not have made without the help/forum, but many were enjoyable. Between this and Trip 1907, we've done our share of enigmatic puzzling lately, but I'd be happy to do more in a similar vein. Just don't go in expecting a story, for all that they've tried to put some actual narrative text in this one.
Apparently there's some bonus content if you can remember key 63 from the original book. We completed the original book, but can't seem to find it right now! Might anyone have mercy on us in a PM?
