When I went to the MPC Vault page, I saw the box image on my IPhone as well.

If you look at the page source code, there is nothing between the Volume 3 Vault icon and the page footer, which starts with the MPC logo.
For some reason that logo isn't showing up for some of you.

UPDATE! That link - which showed only on the home page under "The Curator Recommends" is now gone. There is no longer any link on any MPC page to purchase Volumes I-III However, the link that you saved and posted above - does indeed bring you to a page where you can purchase Volume III....and THE PRICE HAS CHANGED from $119 to $65!!!! So, if you haven't purchased Vol I-II yet, sorry it seems you are out of luck....but if you haven't purchased Vol. III...and want it...act NOW before they realize this [if it wasn't intentional] and it disappears forever. Holy cow, it was literally $119 like...yesterday? What a price drop! I'd get it if I didn't already have it.... And if my puzzle-inclined friends didn't already have it...

Very disappointing if they intend to completely eliminate the back-issues of the newsletter that has brought them this cult following in favor of a watered down version. Volume 3 was (and is) truly a treasure. This world will be less mysterious without it Going to hoard mine in a fire-proof safe now. And pet it. Not in that order.

This turn of events saddens me. Maybe they're having trouble sourcing the older materials for curio reproduction? Whatever the case, if volume 3 leaves the shelf I'll no longer to be able to recommend it to any new mysteriously-intrigued friends. And I like making new friends. I just befriended a quirky couple the other day that have all sorts of crazy-awesome conspiracy theories. *Happy sigh* They're perfect for this group.

I noticed that Gods of Madness is now for sale again...but they are no longer offering Volumes I-III. If you go to their main page and click on the C&C Vol. 3 Catchup link on the bottom, it does take you to a page where you can still purchase the entirety of Volume 3. However, if you try to click the link on the Vol. 3 Omnibus page that says it will take you to the Vol. 1 and 2 Omnibus, it just redirects you back to the main page. The link on the Vol. 3 Omnibus page that said it would take you to the Vol 1 and 2 Omnibus is now gone.

Maybe Todd has already written this, I don't remember ... but with the elimination of sales of volumes 1 and 2, and the dumping of volume 3 at a greatly reduced price, it means that this community is unlikely to grow. In fact, by natural attrition, it will likely shrink.

I don't think the discontinuation of back issues will impact the growth of this community as much as the direction of Curios & Conundrums in the future. If it becomes obvious there is more to solve in future issues than meets the eye, those who choose to explore those mysteries will find us.
The growth of this community has always been dependant on MPC releasing new quality product.

I could just be hopelessly optimistic considering I didn't even know MPC existed before November, but I don't think the Omnibus and the Volume 3 collection disappearing necessarily means that they're gone for good. I'm sure they did things differently with the back issues in the past, but maybe the links are taken down because they're gonna introduce a new omnibus that contains all three volumes and, unfortunately, the Volume 3 curios won't be included? It makes sense, right? Granted, if it stays this way for like... a week or so and they're still gone, THEN we should take to mourning. Until then, I think the speculation is just that. I hope so, anyway. Getting rid of ALL the previous volumes' back issues forever would be lunacy.

Without spilling my wishes for where this volume goes (I think enough people before me have already discussed that topic), I'm über excited about the time period this issue takes place in. I'm absolutely fascinated with the Cold War. So much so that I began teaching myself Russian (and still am, actually), I have some coins minted in the Soviet Union displayed with great pride in a coconut shell on my desk, and I actually considered purchasing an ushanka at one point in my life. Keep in mind that I live in Arizona, where it can get as hot as 116 during the summer and rarely goes below 45 during the "winter". To be fair, it was for a costume, but I would probably have worn it in public on many an occasion afterward had I bought it.
Anyway, I'll stop rambling. Not only do I hope that this Volume's story and puzzliness see an increase in value, I hope that the theme is presented in a spectacular way, too. Even if it includes zombies. And the MPC isn't increasing my faith by inventing three Cyrillic letters for use in their Brain Butchers logo.
