The next issue has been announced. Orders close the end of July, making August shipping likely.
Feel free to discuss.

I noticed that Gods of Madness is now for sale again...but they are no longer offering Volumes I-III.

I would assume, based on the Cold War theme, that this will tie into Risen much in the same way that Gods of Madness tied into The King in Yellow. Also, to be vague, for those of you who have purchased Risen and know the overall story, the name of the next issue seems rather apropos.

Also, the chess theme is intriguing. From the e-mail, note the name of the intern, the image of I assume Fischer and Spassky, and the year and location of when the intern logged this.

I noticed that Gods of Madness is now for sale again...but they are no longer offering Volumes I-III. If you go to their main page and click on the C&C Vol. 3 Catchup link on the bottom, it does take you to a page where you can still purchase the entirety of Volume 3. However, if you try to click the link on the Vol. 3 Omnibus page that says it will take you to the Vol. 1 and 2 Omnibus, it just redirects you back to the main page.

The two gentlemen trying to outwit each other may also portend a further decline in the relationship between The Curator and The Editor

Gods of Madness oddly shows everything that you get in the mailing.

UPDATE! That link - which showed only on the home page under "The Curator Recommends" is now gone. There is no longer any link on any MPC page to purchase Volumes I-III However, the link that you saved and posted above - does indeed bring you to a page where you can purchase Volume III....and THE PRICE HAS CHANGED from $119 to $65!!!! So, if you haven't purchased Vol I-II yet, sorry it seems you are out of luck....but if you haven't purchased Vol. III...and want it...act NOW before they realize this [if it wasn't intentional] and it disappears forever.

Very disappointing if they intend to completely eliminate the back-issues of the newsletter that has brought them this cult following in favor of a watered down version.

It's $64.99--I'm looking at it at exactly noon est. If they are no longer selling volumes 1 and 2, and they are dumping volume 3 at a discount (I don't think it's a mistake), then it appears back issues are going to be permanently off the table. I would reason that they don't want people who've newly signed up for the boxed experience of volume 4 (whose puzzles seem to be much simpler to solve from everyone's comments) to buy the earlier volumes and find they can't solve the puzzles and bitch about it to the company.

There is a square below the third vault on the mpc website. Maybe for a Volume four vault??
