I received mine today, and opened it up to have a quick look. My first impression was that there seems to be a heavy focus on papercraft, whereas I prefer actual 'objects' myself. I also thought there was supposed to be a tee shirt, but I may have misread that in a Curator email. No coins or stickers.
I haven't opened the actual C&C paper yet, as we are STILL way behind working on the last two from 2016.

Those that purchased it thought MPC would ship it with the C&C issue but have since discovered it is being shipped separately.

The box is nice, but I liked the aesthetic of the packages. Feeling like I was getting a secret packet of information from a gumshoe. The box is more manufactured.

I don't mind getting smaller curios that have something to do with the story than bigger things that have to do with the bigger picture.

Well, I'm really going by first impressions as I haven't read most of the articles but have looked at all of the curios (and have solved three out of the five obvious puzzles), but I'm quite enjoying it so far. I think the curios are fun and very well made (though I'm terrified by the papercraft one, as I'm usually terrible with that kind of arts and crafts work, and I skipped the Disagreeable Goat for that very reason, but I'm going to go for this one). I will say that this does feel much more like a collection than a periodical, and that the story elements of the experience may suffer as a result. I can't say for sure though as I haven't read the articles yet. And honestly, while the puzzles for now are much easier than before (I haven't done the Word Stack or Crossword), I've been enjoying solving them. Both the Word Search and Spot the Differences, while not difficult, are fun and interesting variations on their respective themes, and it looks like the crossword will be a twist I've never seen before. I'm confident that there will be more difficult puzzles in following issues (for example, now there's a difficulty ranking and none of these are ranked at the highest difficulty level possible), and honestly, this is a great way to introduce these kinds of crazy puzzles to new people. I'm absolutely interested in continuing my subscription to see where they go next, though I'm hopeful that they include more puzzles with the next collection.
One other thought: I think we have to remember that the MPC doesn't just consider us for this experience, but its broader audience as well, and I think this redesign will absolutely attract more people to the experience. I've mentioned here before that I have a number of friends and family members who are avid and very capable puzzle solvers (including one who's dabbled in competitive crossword solving) who find C&C completely overwhelming, but who I think would love this level of challenge and may be inspired to dive deeper into the whole C&C experience because of it.

Mine appeared today. The interior of the box is quite damaged by the heavy collectible item having run amok during mailing. It's interesting that they've gone back to the tabloid size newspaper.

It's really interesting to hear about the different packaging situations that people have. Mine arrived in pristine condition inside and out.

For a puzzlewit[less] such as myself, the C&C extension page allows me much more enjoyment of the product.

My only issue is the box that holds everything as wonderful and beautiful as it is, seems as though it is made out of a cheap material. Mine came slightly torn in a few spots and when I opened the box it began to tear even more. I like a few others used tape to solve this issue

One other thing I haven't seen mentioned: the box concept is a great way to keep notes and photocopies of the puzzles organized. I'm currently storing all of my photocopies in the box along with everything else and it fits very well. Not that you couldn't do that with the envelopes, but this is nicer and sturdier.

I'm new to C&C. I just recently subscribed. This is my first mailing. It's interesting that my first exposure is that of a new style.
Like others the box came damaged due to the contents and the trip in the mail. I don't really care. The box seemed very secondary to the contents. The paper is what I imagined. The articles were interesting. I finished two of the simpler puzzles. The cnc was nice. I suck at puzzles like this. Without the cnc I probably would be intimidated attempting the harder puzzles.
The curio was cool. The paper craft looks like a fun activity for a rainy day. All in all I'm happy. I will certainly continue with C&C.
I learned about the vault. Would be a shame if they did away with that. I too hope there continues to be some cross over between chapters and volumes. I assumed this was going to be the case when I signed up...

Not really sure where else to put this, but I've solved all of the obvious i.e. marked puzzles and would be happy to help anyone via PM if you'd like hints or guidance without needing to resort to the Codex.

I think I may like the new size of the paper. I think the printing looks nicer, and the dimensions seem easier to handle. I just wish there was more content (namely, puzzles)! Also, I'm pleased to see no stories about public toilets within the pages. I think this is so funny, because one of my complaints is that the new packaging seems overlarge to me! However, I live in a very small house, so storage space is always a concern. Half the thickness and perhaps a slightly sturdier cardboard would be my preference, but I suppose the 'prestige collectible' (which I'm surprised to find that I like quite a bit!) made a lower profile impossible for this issue. I definitely like the idea of being able to keep all the items and notes together in their 'chapter', though, and that the name is on the spine. My current C&C storage method is trying to keep everything in the original envelope, and then always forgetting which envelope is which.

Got mine yesterday--overall I like what I got but I'll admit I'm a little nervous about the Vault but I guess we'll have to wait. Sadly one of the paper items was torn.
