Some of you are going to be lucky and receive this well in advance of others. Your urge to discuss will be powerful.
I feel your need.
Please refrain from heavy spoilers until enough time has passed for many subscribers to have their issues.

I know I'm going to do my best to resist the temptation to come to this forum until I have a chance to go through everything myself and gain my own first impressions. We will have to wait and see just how strong my willpower is.

Mine arrived today! Totally wasn't expecting it till ....December at the rate they've been delaying. Cool stuff inside A lot different than the previous issues. So much for my plans of cleaning my house today.

Mostly spoiler-free first impressions:
First, to put minds at ease: -There is still a newspaper included. It is mostly familiar to us, with a few key differences. -There are still puzzles in said newspaper, and they appear to be along the same vein as previous ones. -There still appears to be a meta-puzzle involved, possibly over several issues.
New stuff: -Really impressive new packaging, but still needs work. Most of my stuff ended up shifting around and a few things got tears/dings on them -The extra $5 is worth it. There are a good chunk of curios, and the "prestige collectable" is well done -It's presented now as more of a curated "overall package" instead of a newspaper and some weird stuff. -It may or may not be a pseudo-sequel to an available MPC experience. Which, I'm sure people will be tempted to buy now...corporate synergy!!!!
If anyone wants specific/spoiler-y details, feel free to PM me.
P.S. I'm a little surprised that none of us discovered something before the packages shipped.

It has arrived! I like the new packaging a lot. I hope they continue doing it this way in the future. I have not had a chance to do a deep dive but just to glance at the contents and the paper. It does not disappoint.

I wasn't sure what to expect with the new packaging but was pleased with what arrived today. The collectible is really nice. My items were not damaged, but I can see how that could easily happen. I think the color printing may have improved in the newspaper. I can't wait until I have time to make copies and dive on in!

Can't wait to get to a photocopier tomorrow morning to make copies so I can start working.

I'm in it for the Conundrums, so Im a bit disappointed that the newspaper is half the size of the previous volume and contains half the number of surface level puzzles. If you are in it for the Curios, you'll be happy. There are the same number (8 by my count) as previous volumes, but the "prestige curio" is bigger and nicer. I was hoping for the extra money and extra delay that there would be more puzzles.

As an aside, how large is the parcel in this new format? Could it still pass as a large format letter or must I prepare for another journey to customs?

It comes in a box. I don't have it here with me but my guess is that it is around 12" x 10" x 2".

I am enjoying the new packaging. Mine arrived unharmed. I had the unfortunate experience of a torn envelope and missing curio when I received 3.4 - a quick email to the curator and a replacement curio was delivered so for others if anything was significantly damaged I would suggest contacting the curator. The prestige curio is well made. I spent my evening delving into the articles and today will hit the copier so I can get to work on the puzzles.

So for those of you that haven't noticed, full hints and solutions for all the obvious puzzles are given on the cnc extension page. At first I was dissapointed to see this, but then I noticed that all the hints are individually clickable so you can reveal them one at a time if you need them and also they made interactive puzzles for all the puzzles, so if you just want a single letter hint for the crossword puzzle, you can click on a specific square to see that one letter instead of the whole grid, so you can pick and choose what help you get.

Yes, sadly it doesn't bode well for the vault we have come to love, and sweat over. Hopefully something equal will take it's place for those who want an additional challenge.
